  • Just looked at the comment section on the freep. Wolverine fans are melting down. Just saw this...

"Belein is a terrible coach who happened to stumble across a few phenomenal players. He has not squeezed an additional ounce of talent out of this team. All I see is a coach who wanders the sidelines watching his highly natural skilled players ad-lib on the floor. We'll see how things go next year if Burke and Hardaway go NBA and he has to actually lead a team"

Wisconsin 68, Michigan 59: Wolverines falter down stretch in Big Ten quarterfinals | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

Michigan will enter the NCAA Tournament on Sunday as a high seed, but certainly not with much confidence. No. 4 seed Wisconsin ensured that today, sending the No. 5 seeded Wolverines home early from the Big Ten tournament with a quarterfinal loss, 68-59, at the United Center.

Do those dumb asses know this is the big ten tournament and not the NCAA? Michigan fans really need a basketball education.

Rest and get ready for what counts. We tried telling them. They can still do well. I'm going to tell Nigel to get on that site and stir things up.

  • Looks like we have some one crying conspiracy here. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

"I'm not buying this any more than the losses to Ohio State, MSU, winless Penn State and Indiana. Figure it out sheeple, this game was fixed, just like hundreds of other college basketball games throughout the season. Are we really supposed to believe that a team with five NBA prospects in the starting lineup and another on the bench, led by one of the best coaches in the game, could give up 51 points in the second half after holding Wisconsin to 17 points in the first half? That Stauskas woluld go 1-for-8 with a possible Big Ten championship on the line? There are several things to look for when a game is not on the level, and this one had all the earmarks. Leaving players wide open for easy shots is a telltale sign, and this game was a prime example because it was lost in the three-point shooting column, where Wisconsin outscored Michigan 24-9. Other signs to watch for include an attack of uncharacteristically egregious "mental lapses," failure to make obvious strategy adjustments, failure to get back on defense on the fast break, crooked officiating, deliberately missed shots and unforced turnovers, failure to box out on the boards, and the list goes on. All this in the biggest game of the season? It doesn't add up! Figure it out sheeple, you're being played for a fool. Doesn't it make you mad when your favorite team is REQUIRED TO LOSE because the game is fixed? Not to mention all the heartache and misery inflicted on the players and coaches for being forced to collaborate in fraud. The corruption even extends to the news media for failing to point out the obvious truth, and to the cover-up artists whose job it is to post comments on the Internet in a pathetic attempt to discredit me for telling the truth about this subject. The players and coaches are powerless to do anything about the situation, because if they talk, it will mean the end of their careers, and their lives might be in danger. It's long past time to get a congressional investigation into the fixing of college basketball, and put the gangsters responsible for this atrocity behind bars, where they belong. For more about the corruption that's killing the game, see http://www.thefixisin.net/."

Oh well, the important games start next week.

    One of your better posts.

The BTT is a nice accolade to hang on the wall, and I won't fault someone for bragging about it a bit. But at the end of the day, THE tournament is what matters.

The B1G has 4 teams with a legit shot at the FF, and I'm stoked about it. I'd say a full 6 teams have a legit shot at the sweet 16. It's gonna be a great tournament.

Agree. The top four team (IND, OSU, MSU, WISCY) could all make the FF.

So which team doesn't have a shot? I put odds of FF in this order: MSU, IND, OSU, WISCY - UM could make the EE, but I doubt it. Loss in the round of 32 coming.

Nuts.. but I'd put UM's chances of a FF on the same level as Minnesota's

You honestly think Wisconsin has a better chance at the FF than UM? You're crazy.

    I'd put the odds in this order;
    MSU, IU, UM, OSU.
Wisconsin isn't making the FF. They've got an outside shot at the elite 8, but that's it.

Let me answer your question with a question.
If Wiscy met UM in the EE, who would you bet your life on?
    Wiscy for me.

First, I think that's virtually irrelevant. They won't be meeting in the tournament, and I'd bet my life on that we'll before either team.

Second, because it is unlikely they meet, I'll pick based on the actual teams, and I think UM translates to the tourney better.

Third, in the unlikely event that they did meet in the tournament, I'd bet my life on UM. Not only is it extremely difficult to beat a good team 3 times in one season, I think UM is actually the better team that simply wasn't 100% vested today.
