Looks like the Spartan Womens basketball team is kicking some as well...this happened earlier this week:

"18th win in the past 19 meetings, the Spartans used their power game in the paint during a nine-point run midway into Wednesday night's second half and then held off the Wolverines for a 60-55 victory in front of 9,718 at Breslin Center."

    lol

Everyone knows womens sports don't count.

Preseason next year: UM #9, MSU #17?

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

We talking about WBB or CFB? ;)

Sound like what it will be preseason, Michigan Top 10, MSU Top 15. As we all know, it means nothing once the games are played.

  • Why is little bro so much better at everything? Big sister must be really terrible at life. I hope things get better for her or she may just start sucking D for money. I'm telling mom.

See, the trolling doesn't work if you reply with a legit response.

It was good. Same old, same old. Back to the real world.

    How was your's?

    Glad to hear that.

Mine was great. Spent a lot of quality time with the wife and kids.

Mine was hectic but got to spend time with the family. On an off day I had a chance to go to the WTC memorial. Very somber, but powerful.

I'll say 8-4. Pretty respectable now that you're playing a big boy schedule.

Hard to get a read on how good Michigan is so far. I don't think we'll know until they play MSU. The more difficult portion of their schedule is coming up and we'll find out what they're made of.

I think we will learn a lot in game 1. If Michigan keeps close to Bama, or somehow beats them, they are really back. Otherwise, I agree, MSU game is the next barometer.

I gotta be honest I'm busy at work and I misread klimas post and thought he was referring to this basketball season. I agree with your comment though re: football next year.

    Okay...and now the hook.

When was the last time Dantonio beat a team on the road that finished the season with less than 6 losses? (Maybe that miracle against a 5 loss NW team?)

    And, with a new QB????

If Michigan is at all good next year (i.e., less than 5 losses) then the chances of MSU winning in AA are extremely low.

Wait...wasn't Michigan good this year? Only 2 losses, right?

So, you're saying that a Michigan team could lose up to 4 games next year, but the chances of MSU winning in AA will be extremely low?

He also hasn't had as much depth and talent that he has had this year and next year.

It's hard for me to take you seriously if you penalize Dantonio for taking over a JLS 4/5 win team and turning them into 7, 9, and 6 wins with his players. Sure, they lost on the road to good teams. If that is the basis of you argument, then I guess you win this one. Kind of obvious.

Next year will be different. I expect MSU to be a solid team. I'm looking for 8 wins, maybe 9. 10+ would be somewhat of a surprise but I would welcome that. Obviously, I'm judging this now in January. Things will change by summer.

    lol It's always something new.

The whole "Dantonio hasn't beaten anybody" thing keeps getting amended with every passing season. I fully expect MD's accomplishments in 2012 to be discounted because "2012 is a leap year and that doesn't really count."

9-4 Northwestern in 2008, 10-4 UGA just over a week ago.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

@ ND should be a heck of a contest, but Shoelaces is their kryptonite.
