I'd like to apologize to all the Blue Boarders who have seen our crazy back and forth arguments over the past few weeks. I thought it'd be a good idea to keep our sibling rivalry to one thread, so the rest of you can debate things like the hottest porn star, or what you're making for dinner, or what the best hypothetical recruiting class could. Or even how many times Barney was dropped on his head as a child.
Alright fans, here's what's gone down.
1) Hoke's off to a great start in recruiting for 2012
2) MSU has the better team this year and the game's at MSU
3) Hoke hasn't coached a single game yet for you guys
4) Switch in schemes are always interesting
5) I love pancakes.
6) 2012 recruits will not be on the field in 2011
7) I think MSU extends our winning streak over you guys to at least 5 games.
Let the flaming/bitching/fighting/discussion (hopefully!) begin!

The only responses to which team is better has been a rolling laughing guy and now a crying guy.
I think that speaks for itself.
We may have lost on the road to NU, but we're getting these road games out now to get to our home games.
Michigan has MSU, @Ark, @Pur, @OSU, Ind, @MSU, @Neb, ILL, OSU
That is brutal. By far the most difficult stretch of any team in the Big Ten. I think you can win most of those home games, even the MSU and OSU games but it's going to be one hell of a ride. Talk now because you won't be in a few weeks.

No it doesn't. Losing to Iowa home or away really hurts your chances of winning the Big Ten. You can't afford those losses. Also, it's going to be a bottom of the barrel RPI team. That's going to hurt coming selection time for any team on the bubble.
Not a lot of UM basketball fans I suppose.

You ever hear of a +/- schedule? It weights teams based on wins and losses at home or away to different teams. It's more of a basketball thing.
Example: winning on the road at OSU is huge. Losing at home to Iowa is awful.
I'm saying NU will be a bubble team and Iowa will be a bottom RPI team. They affect your RPI differently. It's the weighting that I'm talking about and not so much the literal 1 loss = 1 loss.
Worthless argument. You Michigan fans are so draining. It's like talking to your little cousin that annoying mimics your movements and speech. I'll just assume you guys are drunk on your Sat afternoon.

I didn't bring up that incident. Somehow you took what I said, brought up a completely different in incident from 20 years ago and accuse me of condoning it.
Gholson (there's no T in his name, according to hIm) was NOT, in fact, disciplined for ripping Denard's head gear, FYI.

Umm, hey Mr Basketball knowledge. Can you start over and explain again how losing to Iowa is worse than losing to NW when it comes to who wins the B1G. I didn't realize the RPI impacted who wins the B1G also, can you go into detail on that also? I am only asking since you responded to a statement that "A loss to either counts exactly the same", with "No it doesn't. Losing to Iowa home or away really hurts your chances of winning the Big Ten. You can't afford those losses." Please enlighten us basketball sage.

In the standings, it has the same affect.
Maybe more accurately than saying this loss hurts your chances more, it instead should be said that; these games (in a vacuum) are a good indicator of how UM's chances are lower, as they got seemingly handled by a team that is much worse than the team that MSU hung with until the end.
If UM were to set their sights on the tournament eventually, there are a couple factors regarding the MSU/NU game that they should note. First, losing to the team ranked 118 in the RPI hurts considerably more than losing to the team ranked 27th, which is what Iowa and Northwestern's rankings are, respectively. Second, as UM was ranked 20th in the RPI prior to this week of games, there is a decent chance that Northwestern passes UM (or pulls closer at the least) in the next RPI rankings. I understand UM just beat NU, but which of the following would you rather have on your record:
Beat RPI #27 in 3OT at home and Lost to RPI #118 by a significant margin on the road. OR Lost to RPI #20 in 3OT on the road and Beat RPI #4 at home.
I would take the second option every time, I'm assuming you would too. While RPI is certainly not everything, it becomes more important the closer you get to the bubble-zone, and there's potential for both of these teams to be there come tournament time.
Of course, UM could definitely remedy that pretty well by beating MSU on Tuesday.

This is good stuff. I'll add on to it so they can see what I'm saying.
To say that losing at Iowa is the same as losing at NU is to believe that both teams are equal. However, I think NU is a better team than Iowa. Why? I think NU will win those close games at home while many other teams with beat Iowa, at Iowa. Losing at Iowa sets you back.
If MSU loses at Iowa and UM loses at NU, then this is all irrelevant. Also, if MSU wins at Iowa and UM wins at NU then it has the same net effect again. I think UM will lose at NU and MSU will win at Iowa. It hurts in the Big Ten standings if that happens (obviously). It's why I said it's a worse loss for both RPI and winning the Big Ten.
UM could redeem themselves by getting a win at OSU or at MSU. At Ind has already been played so there goes a top end victory to flip the loss. I don't think this is a hard concept to grasp and I've done all I can to explain it. Enjoy the night fellas. Ima get some sushi, later bros.

Nothing like throwing around wild a accusations and referring to me as a supremacist. Why don't you go fy. Dickhead.
Btw, the name Tom is derived from Gholson's officiIal visit when people on campus were calling him that. There is nothing in reference to Uncle Tom or any other idiotic fabricated bullshit that spews from your ignorant Pie hole.

The truth is, Monaghan didn't want to renew his contract and Bo was the one who had to deliver the message. You won't believe that, but I worked for the Tigers then and it's 100% fact.
