Coach D hasn't ever won anything by himself. You would think this guy is Nick Saban.

    Huh?

What are you talking about and why do you seem to hate on MSU more than anything else in your life?

    Get a job, bro.

So far he's much better at MSU than Saban was. Check their records. Saban thought you couldn't recruit against OSU ND and Michigan. Not only does Dantonio think he can, he evaluates talent better and puts a chip on the shoulders of three stars, develops them, and so far is kicking those highly ranked ND and u of m classes ass.

Like I say, he's obsessed single minded and bad ass. What else would any Spartan ask for? Stand and deliver. The rest is just BS talk.

I'm pretty sure Notre Dame wiped their asses with you all this year. Just sayin.

No doubt just like we've wiped ours with those high rated recruiting classes of yours. Dantonio has had plenty of success against ND's highly regarded recruits. You, of course, knew that.

  • Mario Manningham blows. Eli threw him 4 passes yesterday and he couldn't figure out how to catch the f'n ball. It was great to see the Harbaughs lose. Go Giants.

Also, Greg Jones with 3 tackles and Devin Thomas with the fumble recovery. Great day for Spartans in the NFC playoffs.

No hyping, eh Steve? Just blanket hate for all things Michigan. Your head must have exploded when Tom Brady's team won.

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

I hate the Patriots, didn't even watch the game. Last Patriots game I watched was when Plaxico caught the ball in the end zone ftw.

btw, I hated the Patriots well before Brady ever played there.

Also, no hyping at all...I want the Giants to win and was screaming for Manningham to make a catch. The guy has stone hands.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

I'm just wondering what bad plays happened yesterday as a result of Manningham's stone hands? His TD was nice, Eli overthrew him for a touchdown late. I might have missed it, but I didn't see him drop anything yesterday.

Michigan was down 20 points before the game even really started. Arky was running up and down the floor controlling the pace. Michigan finally turned it around and dominated the second half culminating in a possession to tie or win with 7 seconds left. Trey Burke took a three that went in and out, it looked so good the announcer even said it was good. Then it rimmed out.

Wow. I've seen games like that before; team fights almost all the way back, but used up too much energy in the comeback. Similar to the MSU - UM game.

Well, it shouldn't hurt your RPI or anything too much; close road Ls against a decent team usually don't. Who's up next for you guys?

Yea, but we need to win some games in this next stretch or a once promising season will turn into a bubble team. I was hoping for a 4-4 split, including the Arkansas game, but it will be rough to pull that out. Getting away wins @ Purdue and @ Nebraska to go along with winning 2 of 3 at home vs the ranked teams coming is the only way I see it happening.

The td catch was f'n great but he seriously only had 17 yrds when he could of had about 100. Victor Cruz was amazing.

What you said about Victor Cruz is one of the keys on Manningham only having one TD for 17 yds. But keep hyping an pumping a guy that fell on a fumble caused by someone else over a guy that caught the go ahead TD pass. thumbsup

So you were rooting for the niners? Manningham had the ball thrown to him 4-5 times and his drops killed drives. If he caught half of those passes there's no OT.

By the way I made the mistake of eating some Dominos pizza the other night at a football party and had to call in sick today. UM is a great school can't they make a pizza that isn't a total gastric nightmare?

He was thrown to 4 times. I remember two were very bad throws. One was a touchdown. One was a drop.

Preliminary thought: Big 10 is easily the best conference in the country. Northwestern, Minny and Nebraska have all upset top 25 teams, and only PSU is "bad".

@Purdue is going to be huge. They're going to be fighting for the bubble after getting crushed by MSU this past weekend (lack of sleep obviously had something to do with that). Figure @tOSU is going to be a very very hard game. Should win @Nebraska and beat IL at home. I think IU is on its way down; that could be a very nice home win.

Really, you guys could go 3-4 on that stretch (say you beat IU, Neb and IL) and still not be on the bubble. You wouldn't be fighting for a top 4 seed or anything, but it'd take a 1-6 stretch to really put UM on the bubble at this point.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
