There needs to be football soon. This message board back and forth needs to be settled on the field.

RCMB vs. the UM Recruiting Thread guys in a game of no-pads, full tackle football?

I'm in. We'll have to figure out a location. I'll see if I can't get William Clay Ford Sr. to give each side $1M to play at Ford Field on a Tuesday.

Nice pickup. Losing all the seniors has to be desirable for him to see. Early playing time is very possible.

No doubt about it. In addition to 4 SRs, we lost Donald Spencer to a transfer. We've got 3 WR's committed now, though Kyle Kerrick could play S.

Really, in 2012, I'd say Fowler's the only sure bet to start. I'd like to get Madaris and be done with WR recruiting; I hate to take 4 WRs in an 18-19 man class, but we do need the #s.

I'd take that exchange. And also add a guy like Darboh or Powe.

  • Cousins got a standing ovation for his speech at Big 10 Media Days today:

Posnanski from Sports Illustrated just tweeted that "College football has flaws, problems. Then Mich. St. QB Kirk Cousins speaks and you think: Damn, they're doing something right."

    BigTenScott Scott Chipman
Also had an amazing speech from MSU QB Kirk Cousins - first standing ovation at the KOL in a long time.

Michigan St's Kirk Cousins is an exceptional public speaker, seems more like CEO or Senator than QB.

Kirk Cousins @ Michigan St just knocked it outta the park at the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon in Chicago. Wow! What an impressive young man.

There's no question Kirk Cousins is a class act and I enjoyed his speech. I'm sure he'll be a successful guy in whatever endeavor he chooses.

I'd be very proud if he was the QB of the team I root for.

FWIW, I've got a lot of respect for the way Robinson handled the coaching transition. Zero drama about making a transfer, said he was Blue, stayed that way and dedicated himself to the new regime. Class act and a guy I would love to have in the Green and White (though as a WR/PR/KR).

I like Cousins. Not the most physically gifted qb, but he is very intelligent and he just wins football games. If your oline can keep him upright he should have a great senior season.

Meh, no worries. SR isn't the only one who thinks DR should be a receiver/slot. That's fine. They have a right to their opinion. But DR will have the last word. He WILL beat Michigan State...as a quarterback.
