    Once again, I apologize for the misunderstanding. I made TWO statements about the poster in my comment, so saying "uhh no he's not" does not DEFINITIVELY state that he is not a mod.

    I agree that a split is good and shows improvement, especially when combined with a sweep last year. But to be happy with a split every year needs to not be the case.

    Agreed. A split shouldn't be the goal. But Michigan fans (myself included) are happy with the split. It'd be cool if both teams somehow meet again in the B1G tournament.

    Well, if MSU is "typically better" as Callahan said, and MSU is the best program in the state as you have all said repeatedly, and State's ranked in the Top15 perennially, then a split IS good. There are 18 conference games. A split with one of the top teams is not setting the bar low.

    That's still the difference between the programs. MSU hates a split u of m loves it. MSU hated the season last year u of m loved it. ( both seasons were basically the same). Michigan's teams aren't a joke anymore but their expectations still are. That gap is still huge.

I hope one day Michigan can even the series or even take the lead and hopefully be a competent program. Since the inception of football in 2006, MSU has really showed Michigan how a program is really supposed to perform.     That's the beauty of it. We don't play the ghosts of 100 years past when Michigan was playing an ag school not MSU. When Michigan was piling up all time victories against high schools and zero games on the road. We're only playing the team that Michigan throws on the field and Dantonio wouldn't have it any other way. Steal their soul and their will and leave them talking about the past and recruiting class victories. When you have nothing all you can do is look in the rearview mirror and way down the road to a hopeful future because what you have in front of you is beyond frightening. It's 60 minutes of hell and unnecessary roughness and it's not going anywhere. Buckle em up cowboy Dantonio ain't going anywhere and he will never be intimidated. This isn't you're grandpa's big ten it never will be again.
