So tOSU shoots the ball slightly better, doesn't turn it over as much, but State is better on the glass and getting to the line.

I think tOSU wins by 8.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

What about our game in Columbus? What's the chance that we pull off a stunner?

Little in my opinion. The problem with being Michgan State is that we get everyones "A" game. If we were a program that sucked we would get a break or two. I guess that pays off for the tournament. However, we're going to get OSU's best, and that's scary.

I feel like we are over due for a signature win like this. I'm feeling positive about the game Saturday.

Objectively you'd think the conference would appreciate an MSU W to throw the conference race pretty open . . .

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Actually, this is what I believe. OSU winning cements their front runner status.

Yea, it'd give them a 2 game lead with only 3 challenging games left: @UM, Wisky, @MSU.

I think Wisconsin is living on borrowed time in the conference race, because they have to play @MSU and @tOSU down the stretch (rest of the games should all be Ws for them though).

Michigan actually has the best shot to sneak in at the end; tOSU is the only top 25 opponent remaining (it's @Crisler) and the toughest road game is . . . @Northwestern? @IL? Missing the Kohl Center is nice for the Wolverines.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

If I were able to think rationally while these two teams are playing that would make sense.

In choosing the lesser of two evils, I would probably prefer that MSU wins. I actually think MSU will win as Izzo always seems to get the best of his players in big games. MSU is extremely talented but they've been inconsistent. twocents

Yea, I'm most peeved about MSU's L to Illinois. That really cost the Spartans a legit shot at the conf. title. Just an ugly, ugly game.

I'm beginning to love this mgoblow meme this year. Is there somewhere that um fans go and are told what to regurgitate on MB's? There are a lot of posts from teh um fans talking about how MSU is too inconsistent this year to really be all that good. Cracks me up.

Exhibit A as to why there's little reason to post in this thread.

I said nothing even close to "MSU is too inconsistent this year to really be all that good". I know you feel compelled to start a fight at every opportunity but it's alright to have a grown up conversation every once in awhile.

I think the inconsistencies are mostly derived from the # of FR/RS FR in the rotation. You've got Dawson, Trice and Kearney, plus 2nd year players in Payne, Applying and Byrd. Throw in the fact that Brandon Wood is a transfer playing his first full round of Big 10 ball, and you've got a relatively inexperienced team.

I mean, there's 1 SR on the team that's been there more than a year in Draymond, and Nix is the only JR. I'm pretty darn impressed that this team is in contention for a 2-seed this late in the season.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Eh, if Izzo gets you to the final four again then it will all be forgotten. Games like that are almost inevitable.

MSU missed 44 shots that game, and still had a chance to win. Brutal.

No need to call him derogatory names.

Edit: But if you are going to do that, you should at least spell the word correctly.

Right. That's the quandary with youth. The difference between a senior and a freshman isn't talent but the ability to use that talent talent every night. It's true for all sports. I think that's why you'll start peaking at the right time - when Izzo wants to make another run at a final four(or better). Young teams get better as the season goes on. While this season could be disappointing(at least for Michigan State standards), the experience they'll gain this year will be valuable for the post-season and going into future season.

Unfortunately, I don't see state going anywhere. grumble

Do you mean you don't see MSU going anywhere in March, or that they're not going to lose their status as a strong program anytime soon?

MSU winning would make for some bigger games down the stretch but I think Michigan and Wisconsin are long shots at best to win the Big Ten. MSU winning would give State a legit shot at winning the Big Ten but I don't see the other 2 teams i mentioned as really having a shot. Now i think MSU losing would give Michigan a legit shot at finishing 2nd.

    roflmao

It's an RCMB thing to spell moron as "Moran". There's a picture of some redneck that's holding a sign that says "This is America, Get a Brain Morans!" or something like that. It's caught on and just became a thing.

We also purposefully butcher colloquialisms; "Blessing in disguise" becomes "blessing in the skies", etc.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
