Michigan would have gotten more respect that year if they had loaded up their schedule with traditional powers Beloit, Ohio Normal, Oberlin, and Ohio Wesleyan. As it was they barely squeaked out wins over Ohio and Vanderbilt (and lost to Penn).
Unfortunately, neither Michigan nor Wisconsin were matches for Yale that year.

No I don't get it. Because I was born in Canada I am not allowed to be a fan of NCAA college sports? Or does this only apply to Michigan fans?

And no you don't need a degree to be a fan. I guess every student in the student section isn't a fan, haven't got that degree yet.
You never played for the Lions, Tigers, or Red Wings, you are not allowed to be a fan.
