Sure, that is fine with me.

Yeah sure.. Not very confident but why not lol

    How bout two weeks?

Two weeks is fine on your side. Since I am confident, if MSU looses then I will keep it for the rest of the season.

I think this game comes down to Michigan's d-line. If they can get penetration and pressure with the front four consistently I think Michigan wins. If MSU o-line holds it own and gets a decent running game going it will be MSU.

Oh good, a football post! (Sincere)

I think it comes down to both front 7s. Last year MSU was able to make Denard try to beat us with his arm, which did not end well, while UM's front 7 allowed over 250 yards rushing. I think UM's front 7 is definitely better than last year's version; MSU's looked kind of meh until the last 2 games, so who knows? How much can MSU's OL improve in 2 weeks? Will a 2nd receiver emerge next to Cunningham? How will UM fare against Persa?

Lots of questions about this game, should be a fun one.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

To go with that, Michigan oline has looked great, while MSU oline has looked meh.

I don't know the exact numbers, but please hear me out. Your yardage comments are true, but I read a lot of Football Outsiders. Yardage per attempt, whether passing or rushing is far more insightful than total yardage. Further, yardage between the 20s is important, but again not as meaningful as red zone yardage or total YPA. I know that is primarily focused on the pro game, but it should hold at both levels.

When I look at the in-season stats, I always look at yards/carry and yards/attempt. I haven't compared YPC/YPA into points/game though; would be an interesting thing to look at though. Yards/point on O and D is easy to calculate; just take your average yards and divide it by your average points (for O or D).

Hmm . . . so what would this new stat look like? Average yards per game / Average plays per game would give you your average yards/play; would work with O or D. Now, how would you compare that to the total points scored or given up?

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

What is a Wal*Verine exactly? Someone who cheers for a team he didn't attend?

I'm holding pretty much all predictions off until after the NW game. I think it will be quite telling as to what this Michigan team really is...

Yep, it's weird because whenever I go to the west side of the state I see plenty of Spartan fans who clearly never went to MSU. Double standard.

  • MSU's offensive line will be the key to every one of our games this year. Luckily Mike Martin is a DT and will be going up against Foreman and McDonald, I think Fonoti and France will be able to do a good enough job on the DEs.

What's wrong with being a fan of UM but not an alum? I'm currently attending Bowling Green because I don't have $40,000 a year to spend to go to such a great school such as the University of Michigan. Am I white trash because of that?

I haven't attended and don't plan on attending MSU due to geography.

Edit: Don't know why it quoted you.

So according to HC, what does that make you? Or does this only apply to UM people..?

I don't have a problem saying MSU. Nor OSU.
