1. Izzo - duh. The guy is a godlike. He's one of the best coaches in sport.
2. Dantonio - On the rise and with the defense this year, I don't expect many teams to score much at all.
3. Hoke - The Michigan brand attracts cocky talent. Not the type to win a championship. 1 Co-championship in 70 years of football.
4. Beilein - Lol. Zach Noooovaaaaaaakkkkk for threeeeeeeeeee.

1. Izzo - Hes done it before (the only one out of the 4), and just pulled in his best recruiting class in a while, and could get Parker. A lineup of Appling, Harris, Parker, Dawson and Payne in 2013 could be well set up for a championship.
Big Drop off
2. Belein - Just because it's easier to win a championship in basketball than it is in football, hell butler made the championship game back to back. He has yet to prove anything in the tournament, getting ousted by Duke then Ohio in the 1st weekend the past 2 years. If Mitch Mcgary can live up to the potential he had last fall (which has fallen quite a bit), and GR3 can live up to the potential he has now then the team can be a 2-3 seed this year (not knowing depth and roster off the top of my head).
3a. Dantonio - getting consistently better recruiting classes and getting consistently better defenses. He's already won a championship as a DC under tressell. Next year or the year after would be the year to run the table which would be needed to win the champ in football. VERY easy schedule in 13 and 14 with no wiscy, osu, or psu. although we do play @ oregon in 14 and break in a new QB. So far this year he has 4 4-star players: Shane Jones, Caleb Benenoch, Damion Terry, and Jon Reshcke. with Riley Norman a near lock once his track season is finished.
3b. Hoke - Has yet to prove anything imo. 1 year with a favorable schedule isnt good, but the recruiting classes speak for themselves, although michigan has always recruited well. I dont think he will prove anything this year either, since he has a lack of depth at both lines. It usually takes a head coach 4 or 5 years before they show up with their players. Mark D went 6-7 before that 11-1 season. Don't think the state of michigan gets a football national championship anytime soon anyways. unless an 8 team playoff is born.

Having top ten talent is a prerequisite for winning a NC. Dantonio is as likely to win one with 10 players on the field each down as he is to be the ONE coach to win a NC with mid-level talent. He has been a good coach, but his teams get blown out a couple times a year even at their peak. Things will have to really change before Dantonio has a legit shot at being a NC.

Ok, so I save my downvotes for when personal attacks get out of hand, and more importantly, I let the person know it was me. That being said, what goggle wearing bitch downvoted my last post and why? Please enlighten me w your almighty, most likely, holier than thou opinion.
Edit-i xpected the votes here, but am still curious if its over sensitive uofm fans cause I had the nerve to put izzo at 1, guarantee a natty for D if he improves in 1 area as a coach, and put B last, or over sensitive msu fans for having the nerve to guarantee you a natty if D could recruit better (his only flaw imo) and having hoke above D (admittedly homerism at its best)

Any fanbase that has a prominent front page thread dedicated to up votes is VERY sensitive. Kind of pathetic considering your post was sincere and logical. (at least to you)

I felt dirty, but I upvoted you to offset the downvote. Only thing I can really see there is saying that Dantonio can't recruit. Could also be someone just randomly downvoting.
My list.
Izzo - Proven commodity, hitting the recruiting trail hard and going for the top talent in the nation, shows with Garry Harris and Dawson. Kind of a bitter sweet hope for another NC, as he might retire after #2. I think even though he says that, he is too competitive to stop at #2 and wants 2 more NC's if he isn't too old when he gets #2.
.
.
.
Big dropoff
Beiline - His recruiting is getting better, I find no reason to hate him or even dislike him, needs to prove more in March though, but with better recruits we'll see what he can do.Coach D - Is a proven on the field commodity, has built up a very strong D. I think he has had to transform this team and base into thinking they can be winners. That is harder than people think, and last years bowl win was a big step in that direction.
Hoke - Can we see what year 2 is going to be like before saying he is going to win a NC in the next 5 years? If this year he goes 11-2 again and wins the B1GCCG, I would move him right up under Izzo, begrudgingly.

Thx and well said. Let me clarify on my recruiting comment, he can recruit, but its his biggest, or really his only flaw. Its a flaw based on how great he does at everything else, he excels at basically everything else. He turned a football team into a football program, w the help of a much better AD. If I were a spartan fan, it would drive me nuts that he wasnt getting better recruits/higher ranked classes, but I look into recruiting more than the average fan. If he put together a run of 3 or 4 consecutive top 10-15 classes......scary.
Btw, i'd offer you an ice cold brew for making you feel dirty on a 80 degree saturday.......but its after 12 now and im gonna drink them all myself. +1 back at you

Nice try. BS, but nice try. You think the effers on the RCMB really care about up and down crap? Your fanbase believes credibility is somehow attached to up votes. That's weird. I'll read and respond to anyone in any thread. You guys are obsessed with that, stars, all that crap. Just write stuff. We'll respond or not. Jebus, it's a message board.

True that, anyone that says different is lying. I'm not convinced from last year, favorable schedule, 1 impressive victory (Nebraska). OSU was a bad pass away from beating them, ND fumbled opportunities away, missed the top two teams from the other division, got to play a bowl game against a team that lost by a zilly in their weak league championship. However, they were better. If they win ten with victories against MSU ms OSU (2 of 3) I'm convinced.

Nice try. BS, but nice try. You talk about not caring about votes, but you talk about them more than anyone in this thread. Also, you post mainly on trcmb right? Weird how you average more than a vote per post. So much for a fansbase not caring... Jebus, it's a message board, stop worrying about votes.

Total game was much closer Michigan-OSU I saw a physical ass whipping MSU-u of m. Maybe you didn't. But Hoke went for it twice on fourth down that drive because he was watching the same game I was.
Btw, we were one series of taking a knee away from winning by 21. Just sayin
Now down vote this please.
