  • Take it FWIW, supposedly Burbridge is looking very good to qualify.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

lol MSU had 29 rushing attempts and averaged 2.5 yards per rush against Georgia. As Rocky likes to point out Georgia only had 1 sack in that game so it's not like sacks factored into that a lot. I don't think the score of the game had a whole lot to do with MSU's poor rushing attack in the Georgia game.

If we are going to play this game, let's discuss the sugar bowl. Michigan's vaunted, Denard led rushing attacked racked up an impressive 56 yards on the ground and like 180 total yards; like a third of which I am pretty sure came on a single armpunt in which his receiver completely bailed him out.

    Michigan's offense ain't shit, apparently.

I still maintain the rush game improved because the defenses you faced were not good. MSU had less than 100 yds rushing against a good Rush D in Georgia. Are you just going to ignore that game?

Not at all.. UGA's run D was nasty that game..

But how many games this year is MSU going to face an UGA like defense? Answer: Not until the bowl game (or maybe PSU in the B1G Title game).

So while you can say the rush game improved because the D's MSU faced weren't good, that's fine. But MSU will be going against the same defenses this year as they ran well again last year, so I don't see how they won't run the ball with any success, as you've already admitted they ran the ball well (just against bad defenses) and MSU will still be facing those bad defenses again in 2012, just this time, for the most part, in Spartan Stadium

Yes, about 2 months ago, I was in the hospital for about a week, then layed up at home for 2 more weeks. I had been checking the site out for a couple months but only breezing through. When I was in the hospital, I read through this entire thread. The morphine wasnt enough, had to bump it up to a double dose of delodid (spelling?) lol.

state winning 11 to 12 games roflmao no kork coupons, b.j, keshawn, worthy. a TE and 2 other WR that i cant name. defense wins games, but you need to score to win also. you think you can just hand it off to bell 50 times and dont think your freshman wr's are gonna come in and be sammy watkins. on a side note i'll be rooting for sparty against osu.

Yes. because teams clearly cannot win with a new QB and a couple new WR's

I suppose UM is screwed next year with Denard and Roundtree leaving..

You obviously need to read what i was responding to. It had nothing to do with Michigan. A MSU poster was trying to use the performance of MSU's run game in the later half of the season as proof they will be good this year. I brought up the fact that the run defenses weren't very good except for Georgia and that MSU did not perform well on the ground in that game. That is all.

You are leaving out the first half of the season though. MSU didn't run well then. You still have to play a lot of those teams as well. Not to mention who says the defenses will be the same?

I have no idea how early Hoke offers kids. I know for '15 Cass Tech has the Campbell kid who is a really good prospect as well. I wouldn't be suprised to see O'Connor get an offer at some point though.

Sounds like he really performed well at the latest camp. Won't be shocked to see Michigan offer him in the future, but when I do not know.

Sorry that UM is so much harder to get into compared to MSU. Not everyone is gifted to be smart enough to get into UM. I go to BGSU majoring in accounting and finance with a 4.0 GPA. Couldn't go to Michigan due to the $40,000 a year out of state tuition. Sorry my parents can't pay that every year, so guess that makes me a Wal*Verine.

    Why are you so sorry?

A lot of people are smart enough to go to UM but not everyone has the maturity level to work hard enough in high school. It's fine that you don't go to Michigan. I wasn't even talking to you.

I don't consider you a Wal*Verine. Those are the types that go to community college or no college at all and rip MSU. I've actually found that most people that go to UM or other universities don't rip on MSU's academics. At least not the UM grads that I know. It's typically people that go to a very bad university like a Davenport or something. Or it's the people that took a few classes at Macomb Comm College. Those are Wal*Verines.

I wish you success in your studies and if you want to get into public accounting, I can always help you out. I've gone through the classes, internships, interview process, being a new hire, and now studying for the CPA exam. I'm actually far more open and willing to help than my "schtick" on here would appear.

I did not apply. The application requires an essay, recommendations, and all of the other crap I would have needed to put together. I didn't really want to go through all the work for it when I knew I wouldn't be able to go anyway. Also could have been because I would be scared of getting rejected.

I had a 3.8 and a 25 on the ACT so I would have been on the borderline. I only took the ACT once so I probably could have taken it a couple more times and maybe gotten around a 28 but like I said that would have been too much effort when I knew I couldn't go anyway. I'm hoping to try and apply for graduate school at UM though to earn my Master's degree.

I appreciate that. I'm actually planning on going into public accounting. Only going to be a sophomore in the fall so I'm not sure how likely an internship will be since most firms want juniors and seniors. I'm going to try and get an internship at Ernst & Young for the summer after my junior year to get my foot in the door at one of the Big 4 and make them pay for grad school as well as getting my CPA lol.

I respect your education, I respect your choice of school, I understand that you need to "make fun" of the in state rival of the school you cheer for ( forgetting that you actually go to bgsu). However, I can't stand the excuse that "my parents couldn't afford it".

Was it important that you went to Michigan? Obviously not as important as staying out of debt. You respect Michigan, however you've consciously said the job you get based on a degree from BGSU will be no worse than the one you would have got graduating from Michigan. Your potential earnings in a lifetime will not be effected one iota and you have said to yourself that had you gone into debt, or went to Michigan, got a job, taken longer to graduate, then, with that vaunted degree, you would have magical doors opened for you and made up that debt, or the extra time you took to get that degree.
The networking would not be better one bit.

Or, you were just too damn scared to do the above, and now all you can do is regret your decision, cheer for your childhood team and give everyone these tired excuses about parents being broke (son, after high school you're a man quit relying on mom and dad) or the guy who says marriage got in his way ( what you started loving michigan after marriage?) or whatever you want to say. It's pathetic and sorry and beneath you. America was built on balls and people taking chances, not on execuses.

But I'm here with some good news son. In your arrogance you've told us you're a great 4.0 student. You'll do well in the world. Your degree from BGSU IS every bit as good as the one you would have had from Michigan had you had any balls or your parents weren't broke. You just have to interview well and be positive. Work hard and drop the arrogance. Quit cutting down schools you never went to, it might hurt you. Take it from someone whose family is perfectly split with MSU and um grads. It's not the degree, it's the person with it. Oh, and remember, take chances, don't be afraid to do shit. And if you are, nobody wants to hear the reasons you didn't or couldn't.

Wisconsin, USC if they are in the rosebowl, and i see OSU as a tossup depending on how good they are.
