That's not the point. We can argue the head to head with Wisconsin in 10, or the epic game last year or 1911 championships, but the moron above said we've lost our edge because Rich Rod is gone. How so? Did he help us win all those games other than the Michigan game? Do you get what I'm asking or are you also living in that same world the moron above lives in?

The reason why Dantonio loves beating Michigan is that for some reason Michigan and their fans think that they count more than one during the season. Weremichiganfergodssakes. Every game counts one. One. We lost our edge? Jebus, lord help us. If we beat michigan next year, it counts one, if we get upset, it counts one. That's it.
We might lose two in a row next year to Michigan and Wisconsin. Still, we've "lost our edge". WTF? How can anyone actually come up with that and not be giggling like a madman behind the key board? I give up.

It is crazy how recruiting has changed. There are plenty of kids that never made it to a camp that will have a great breakout season. Look how much Pipkins blew up last year as the year went on.
I do feel that technology has been one of the biggest reasons for the change in recruiting. Easier to get exposure and to get your highlight film to coaches across the country.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. MSU finally got a big OOC W on the resume vs. UGA. They'll have a shot to get another pelt on the wall with Boise State (from a perspective standpoint, Boise is pretty well known nationally), plus the '12 bowl opponent.
I don't think MSU has arrived nationally, but they've improved quite a bit over the last 5 years. It's not perfect, but it's definitely progress.
Given that UM hasn't beaten MSU in the last 4 years, it's pretty clear that UM cannot compete nationally with the best teams either. When was the last time UM beat a top 10 team?

How about being in the first Big Ten Ship game? Winning the most conference games out of any team the past 4 years? Putting one of the nation's best defense on the field?
I guess none of that is worthwhile because it doesn't have the prestigious "BCS" next to it. Jesus. Played a tougher opponent in the Outback bowl

And yep i believe it has everything to do with tRCMB. I have lived in Lansing most of my life and tRCMB is the only place i get the hate towad Michigan fans. I don't get it in real life from any MSU fans.

Not one time at a bar after a football game has a MSU fan told me they hated me because i am Michigan fan.
