    How did you go from:

""there's 1st and 2nd round NFL talent that are 3* and 2* talent. By over looking those players you would be missing out on some really quality players.""

    to

"MSU poster believes that with this last draft having more 3* or lower recruits drafted in the first 2 rounds, it shows that recruiting rankings are useless."

Neither me or the author of that article made that argument or anything close to it. That's all you.

    Hmmm, that's an interesting situation.

They charged him for disorderly conduct b/c he allegedly "almost hit" a police car, and because of the disruption to traffic due to the police searching his car?? Wtf is that? That's messed up.

As for the marijuana, it's hard to believe that it wasn't his, but if he had tested negative then who knows. The girl saying they were both smoking it just makes the story out and out weird.

And how does the mom know the weed was there prior, but not how it got there?

There are absolutely some people lying, it's just hard to tell who...

Dunn wasn't charged with possession so I doubt the test was done by the cops. It was probably done by his attorney via a private lab much later. Who knows how "reliable" it was. His passenger said they were smoking. Why would she lie?

Edit: And of course the mom is lying to protect her son, but she wasn't charged with possession either. The pot just magically appeared in her car. She knew it was there before she loaned the car to her son, but has no idea how it got there. Yeah, right. $60 fine. Parking tickets in Chicago are more than that.

Why would she lie, that's an excellent question, and one I can't think of an answer to.

  • The Domers over at Irish Envy seem quite peeved that Jerry Palm (CBS) has put them in the Military Bowl against Miami (OH) as part of his preseason bowl predictions. Talk about getting your panties in a bunch over something meaningless. But it's sort of worth a read if you are bored and need a few chuckles.

Indeed, this is a complete smack in the face to our program, we might be used to it but this??? Really?

I bet CFB every year that pays my tuition and then some. I've seen strange things happen in the betting world but the odds of something like this occurring is 0. In fact, lets used an an imaginary number like -50i%.

We have a top 3 traveling fan base. Even if we only won 6 games this year. There are a number of bowls that would give us an offer against a real opponent just because they know our fans will travel to watch it, regardless of the shitfest they are playing in.

Didn't the bowl against Miami sell out within 24 hours of it's announcement? It looked as if a large percentage of the stadium were Irish fans.

Looking more closely at the schedule, besides USC and Oklahoma, I don't know where ND will be an underdog in a game. Maybe Michigan St and at home to Michigan but even so I wouldn't call a win against either of those teams as big upsets.

I understand the schedule this year is brutal but I guess i'm just more optimistic than others and I really believe this team will rise up and finally put it all together and prove a lot of people wrong.
