Good win for you guys today, wish we would have done the same last week. Oh well, good win today and the rest of our games are at home.

  • Yeah, I just hope our players can keep that intensity for The Game next week.

The buildup on ESPN and BTN is going to be insane. The rest of the nation will be sick of hearing about it.

  • I think both fanbases are being proven wrong.

MSU is absolutely better than 90% of UM fans thought.

And MSU fans..come on..can you finally admit UM's D is for real?

You mean after you held Illinois to 14 points?

    You're joking, right?

After today, Michigan is going to be right around #25 in total D and top 10 in scoring D. UM held Illinois scoreless most of the game.

Unless you think Nebraska and OSU are going to run wild on UM, UM's D is going to be solidly in the top 35-40 overall D's. So why exactly would I be joking?

Not flaming or nothing but I think they are going to run extremely wild on your D. But yeah, definitely a decent D. I just wanna know if you guys will admit that we are better than you guys. Or if it was still just on that day.

I've admitted on this and many other boards that MSU was the better team that day and right now absolutely looks like the better team this year.

And I am not sure why you think Nebraska will run wild on Michigan?

Better than us yes, but it's not by much. But yeah you guys beat us.

Because they've ran wild on nearly everyone, maybe...

    Really?

Looking at Nebraska, their most impressive performance against a real team was the OSU game at home. The past 3 weeks they have scored 24, 25, and 17 points.

Well I guess you don't consider MSU a real team, and if that's the case then UM REALLY isn't a real team and that would make me worry all the more. They have the most potent ground game you guys have played all year, and their D is a better version of Iowa's D. But by all mean feel confident about this game.

Today took me by surprise, I didn't think we could pull it off. So even as a Spartan fan I was proven wrong.

Also, not flaming but I thought you guys would win today. Your game went about as I expected. I've called about every game right so far for you guys and I think you guys are going to have your work cut out for you the next two games. I think Nebraska can win and I'm on the fence about Ohio. I think their QB needs to improve to win against Michigan, but I think their D is going to give you guys fits. Should be two really entertaining games.

I'll also say our last game against Northwestern is no gimme for us, they've proven time and time again they can f just about any teams shit up. Total jeckyl and hyde scenario we are facing.

What you are you talking about? Of course MSU is a real team- and Nebraska scored 24 points on them at home.

Nebraska is solid, no doubt, but I'm not going to feel like a huge underdog against a team that just lost to Northwestern at home with their backup QB in the game.

The last 2 games certainly are not gimme's, but both of those teams have far worse losses on their resume than UM has. (by the same token, they have better wins than UM as well).

Remember, UM has played 4 of their last 5 games on the road. I don't think that can be underestimated.

They're gonna score more than 24 points on you guys, and that will be plenty enough to beat you guys. Their D is going to give your O a bunch of fits.

Nebraska looked good against us, Ohio State and they've shown flashes of brilliance in other games against lesser opponents. I think they're going to match up well against you guys next week, and I think on the O side of the ball you guys are going to need to pass it well to win it.

Ok dokie. I'm sure your predictive powers have been spot on with Michigan this year, so I won't even bother to watch then. Again, I think you are really overlooking that fact that UM has been on the road for basically the last month. I expect Michigan to look a lot different at home, just like every other B10 team.

Yeah, I hear you. I'll leave it at this, if I was a Michigan fan I'd be super fired up over a win next week. I think it's an opportunity for the biggest win for you guys that I can remember in a wile...it really should be a great game. I disagree with sp4rt4ns that NU is going to roll, but I do think they come in the favorites and rightfully so.

I know 99% of your posts here are just blatant trolls, but the logic of trying to compare points allowed/scored to other teams in the conference is just unbelievably weak.

By that logic, does Michigan have a better defense than MSU since MSU gave up 24 points to Minny? Of course not.

My point is this- its now 10 games, and despite Rocky and other MSU fans predictions, UM's D is not getting worse, it is getting better. Is that really too much to admit?

Maybe so, but what's to say they can't do what we did today and win big in an away game?

I agree with you on this, although I believe the game being in the Big House makes it a straight toss up. Win next week, and break the streak of OSU losses and I'll be one happy Michigan fan.
