Thanks for the personal attack. I wouldn't expect anything less from you.

So personal. I wouldn't expect anything different from Michigan fans having an excuse for everything, as Bailey already posted in the best post of this entire almost 1,000 page thread.

MSU might be a national title contender next year

The defense, even with the loss of Worthy, will be BETTER! MSU will have a national title worthy defense. MSUs running game next year coul

By the way Dwags. You see how well this is going over with MSU fans. They really don't like me pumping up Coach B like you do Dantonio. lol

I think it's more that you're comparing B to Dantonio. If just discussing B, I would agree that he has done a great job.

Also, several UM fans have mentioned that B has won more tourney games than Dantonio has won bowl games... That is seriously the worst comparison I have ever read. If I need to explain why, then I am genuinely embarrassed by the representation in this thread...

Elite teams are NC contenders. USC, LSU, Bama, and somewhat UGA are seen as elite teams because they are NC contenders. If MSU is not an elite team, then they are not NC contenders.

I think the comparison is pretty good. Both have 1 Big Ten title they shared with 2 other teams. Neither has accomplished much in post season play.

Nice job, posted a thread where the OP states that MSU "could be a national contender" and may have an "elite running game" followed by 8 pages of Spartans trying to talk some reason to him. Mean while virtually every thread at MGoBlow is all about how the adopted team will win a national champtionship in every sport every year.

Could be a NC contender= A NC contender. MSU will not be a NC contender in 2012, and I seriously doubt they will have a “elite running game” with that Oline, Bell is a good back but he’s not T Rich or Marcus Lattimoore. He’s not even Monte Ball. Michigan hoops and Football will not be NC contenders in the 2012-2013 season, and I seriously doubt people have made those kind of threads over there. Even if they do Idc, because I rarely visit the forum, and majority of the time I just read the blog.

Nice job of calling it MGoBlow. What are you? 12

I never said Michigan's was harder. Just that MSU's wasn't that hard.

Adam Rittenburg (sp?) called it the hardest in the country outside of the $EC.

I also love the "Your cupcakes had more sprinkles on it then ours" argument. Every team plays three cupcakes a year and it really doesn't matter if they are Eastern or FAU, they are all the same. We also had to play Wisconsin, twice. Not to mention Nebraska, Ohio State, and Notre Dame all on the road.

Rittenburg would be wrong. I can come up with 2 that i would say are harder real quick

Penn St - Alabama, Nebraska, @Ohio St, @ Wisconsin
Oregon- LSU, USC, @ Stanford, Wisconsin.

My argument was that you had 5 cupcake games including Minnesota and Indiana. That's pretty weak in my opinion.

Because the title of the thread is "Michigan and Michigan State" And if we don't matter, why are you here. If I started a "Michigan and Indiana" thread, I don't think people would show up because they don't matter. Let me try and sum this up.

"We were better last year even though we finished second in the standings and lost to you head to head for the fourth year in a row."

"If you beat a bad Michigan coach it doesn't count, but a win over a bad MSU coach does count for us."

"Your bowl doesn't matter, even though it had the highest ratings for a non-bcs bowl and went up against three other bowls and The Rose Bowl for a bit"

"It also doesn't matter because you went up against Georgia, even though the game we talk about from 2009 had Tim Tebow is was because of us because everyone knows Michigan gets more headlines then Tim Tebow."

"Nobody follows you, even though you have more prime time games then anyone in the country, had college gameday last year, had the highest ratings combined over and B1G including us, have had top 20 attendance for the last 50 years, and Nike just put you in it's 'elite' category which means you have more gear on the shelf then anybody in the country"

"Sugar Bowl > B1G Title game, even though you have to earn your way to one and lobby for the other."

"The fact that our Sugar Bowl game has been called a fraud and many refer to it as the worst BCS game ever played doesn't matter."

"We don't care about you at all, even though there are close to 1,000 pages on this thread and zero with any other school including Ohio State."

"Anytime you beat us it doesn't count because we sucked that year, but if we beat a rival at home that has only 6 wins and an interm head coach we get to storm the field."

    This is gold.

Staying on Warfield/Hicks might work out like it did for Madaris last year. If tOSU doesn't offer then you are there to grab the kid.

I am high on Augusta, DT who played some WR last fall. They say one of the best athletes for his size.

Every team who has an Ohio LB committed has to be slightly concerned with tOSU having 2 spots open up. I feel good about Gedeon and McCray, but you never know for sure. I think Nebraska has a verbal from a kid out of Cardinal Mooney also.

Hit the nail on the head with Warfield/Hicks. We'll see if some other CB targets jump on, but I know the staff really likes Hicks.

Yea, that's Courtney Love you're talking about re: Nebraska. We'll see how that shakes out; hard for an OH guy to turn down a schollie from tOSU.

I like Augusta too and he seems to at least be interested in MSU. No clue where it goes from here, but Roushar did tell him to "keep his grades up". Not sure if there's an issue there, of if it's just standard advice. I'm leaning towards the latter.

It's weird to feel that the '13 recruiting process is "winding down" when it's only May. Tons of early commits this year. Makes me wonder if we'll see more decommitts in Dec-Feb than in most years.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

thumbsup Good luck in Miami. I cant wait to see MSU destroy LSU’s O and D. I wonder why MSU isn’t picked as a potential NC contender outside of EL? Probably all the USC and SEC bias, Iyam.

I think that would be Sparties. I'm not sure. I know the way you used it is wrong. Whatever. I never predict unless it's a joke then every year I say MSU will be NCs. Predictions are hilarious. Who knows what the weather is going to be like on a given Saturday next fall let alone injuries breaks wind or staff infections. Just say your team will be 12-0 and be done with it I say. Then, if some idiot wants to bump your prediction just say " oh yeah, my bad". Jebus you guys crack me up.

I don't know what MSUs record will be next year, but I do know we have a team that will compete every Saturday. I also know for anyone who is on our schedule to think MSU is in their win column no problem is crazy and not someone who is serious about watching football.

Let's do something more fun than predicting. Take your schedule and list the teams in order from "most likely to win" to "hardest game to win". Like a golf course ranking tough holes. I can't do it till I come back home from a meeting. On hand held now.
