    Why are you concerned with FSU and Clemson, they have clowned you guys for years, they are going to clown you guys this year. Those two are on a whole different level than the rest of the ACC, I will admit I thought the ACC was going to be a better conference this year but it's really only two big boys and 10 little bitches. Your concern shouldn't be about UVA you guys have proven you can beat us, the concern for you guys should be why you can't win a big game. You guys later in the season are going to be on Thursday night two weeks in a row against Clemson and the FSU with all of America watching what VT football has become in front of a national TV audience.

    1. We play Clemson on Sat Oct. 20th, so you're wrong again.

    2. Since joining the ACC, VT is .500 against Clemson and FSU, so wouldn't that mean we've "Clowned" them just as much?

    3. Wanting to be on par with those 2, means we need to step up our game, they're the 2 best ACC teams this year by a good margin. But please don't act like 5 games of one season means they've dominated the ACC since we've been in it. We can gladly compare those records. Maybe your sources can get them for you, they seem to be spot on.

    4. If you think UVA is on a different level than NCST or Wake, you need a reality check. Y'all may be I. A few years, but currently you're not. They're programs that have a good year every 3-4 seasons with senior laden teams, and then they're mediocre for 2-3 years. Sound familiar? Don't forget Wake also has an ACC title and BCS appearance.

    Our OL might suck, but the real problem is we don't have a coach calling plays to play to the OL's strengths or against their weaknesses....it is truly baffling to watch

  • He has been out with a hamstring injury, he came back and played in the third game only to reinjure it again. I don't know what the true plans are for him I've heard he will play once healthy while others say they may medically redshirt him this year.

    I dunno if that is all of the problem, but it is my main complaint, well besides the dropped balls. I was so pissed from Saturday's outcome. At least my Skins won.

    My brother was 16 rows up behind the Hokies bench. He said they watched Marcus Davis open all day long. Once Davis came back to the sideline to Logan, with his arms out, screaming, "Throw me the gd ball, I've been open the whole f'ing game".

  • There was so many plays that we had a guy running wide open.. or running the option read if he would have let the RB take it the ball game would not have been close..frustrated

    Based on my degree of confidence in the OC, I would believe they reasoned that becuase Davis was a mismatch that none of their DB's could handle nor stop, we'd outsmart them and not throw to him.

    Its very similar to Bowden, old men that have had success for so long get stubborn on change

    Can't really blame them, but it blows being hostage to it

    I think it really just comes down to having difficulty having that conversation with close friends. We saw the same thing with Welsh. His staff was as stale as 2 week old wonder bread by the end. But he didn't want to have "the conversation," with his underperforming guys.

    I shit you not webbi, wouldn't doubt it for a minute. No different than our running game struggling and Ol getting manhandled, but if we played the team with the #1 rush defense, we would run up the middle 3 out of every 4 plays because they would never expect us to do that.

    And ask my fellow Hokies if this ain't true, we start having success on offense by running like hell or passing well. Give us 1 quarter of success, and we will stop doing it, because they would never expect us to stop doing what is working.

  • So I haven;t seen one second of the VT Cincy game....what happened? It looks like they had a bunch of big passing plays because Munchy's completion pct. looks pretty awful. Just timely conversions? And then on offense, most of your backs had a nice ypc avg. which can be misleading if they break off a decent gain.

    I find it amazing that as disappointing as the play has been so far, we both control our own destinies going forward. I haven't seen a whole lot wrong with us that I feel can't be corrected either by personnel moves or step running. Plus, I thought our max win total this year would be 7 with 5 or 6 more likely. I haven't seen as much of you all as I usually have by this time but it sounds like the defense is underperforming so far and if there's a guy that can fix that, it's Bud.

  • In all seriousness, I've heard clamor of Beamer needing to go in the past, but am hearing it more than I ever have the past two days. All I'm gonna say is be careful what you wish for. I would be shocked to see a big time coach that would come to Blacksburg, the assistants on the team couldn't take over the program and keep it successful IMO. I think you guys are in between a rock and hard place with this one.

    -Against Cinci we run the ball right down their throats from the I and Holmes scores a TD....what do we do the next drive when we can ice the game? pass 3 straight for a 3 and out.

    We have to have the dumbest OC or HC in college football. This team has as much overall talent as most VT teams have the last 10 years, but we are dumb as S.

    Joe...Munchie picked on Exum all game, and it was good for completions or a PI to extend a drive. The O's first 5 drives: 3, 3, 2, 3, 3 and out...the D gave up only 6 point through that...This game should have been over at the half if our O had a clue
