I prefer to think of it as beating Miami while they were missing three guys that helped lead them to one of the worst defenses in the nation.

Im certainly not trying to tell you how to think, but take Bush, Perryman and Johnson off of that defense and you are looking at a team that maybe wins only 2 games so far instead of 5

Miami is a terrible football team regardless though, probably the worst Miami team I have ever seen in my life

  • virginia tech this is why you are losing games. i used to think some of your old wr sucked at catching, but they were always throwing blocks and roughing dbs up in the run game.

This has gone wild on twitter, he is getting crushed for this...and while he should be he should have been escorted of the field for this, there were a few plays his block was the only thing stopping a TD....and this was only one game! Sickening, I have a feeling the people that matter will have an opinion on this

After I quit watching the Marcus Davis film...does that make me as bad as him, just another lazy quitter that can't finish a play....

I don't think MD would like to know we have an NFL coach currently crushing him....that FSU game could have cost him any outside shot at the NFL, no way a GM can take him now and risk a fan base getting ahold of that film, that wasn't some no body game, thata was
A huge national TV game ve a top 10 opponent.

  • Pretty fair assessment, London looked like an absolute clown on the sidelines. Just part of his facade though.

Marcus Davis needs to be on the bench, Fuller is our best WR playing this year.

I posted the other day regarding London on the sidelines....the only people we could think of that are as bad on the sideline would be maybe Kelly and Muscamp.. could not think of worse...unless we went Basketball and then we all agreed he was Greenburg territory....funny how much Hoo's hated one's demeaner and not the other. He has a fit over every single call, non call, good play, bad play....dude is a fan, not a coach...he might be Arden

I wonder if I got down voted by a hoo saying you all were loading up on talented thugs or a Hokie for saying you were improving your talent? Not the Hoosinsc one

    Good recruiter
    Mediocre coach
Act like jackasses on the sidelines
    Low ceilings

You do realize you just linked an article written by a man who has a blog that comments on what teams and coaches wear. Not about the team itself. But about what they wear. Not about an actual game or strategy. But about their socks and the color combinations.

    Yeah. That guy's a winner.

I have three West Pointers, two Naval Academy grads and a retired Air Force commander in my office. Not one of them had a problem with it (and the Air Force commander is a Hokie fan). Everyone actually thought it was a pretty cool way to honor the various military branches on Veterans Day weekend. Two said if he'd had insignia's on the cammo they may have been a little turned off but he didn't so it was not a big deal at all. My brother in law, 25 year marine, Desert Storm tour, Iraqi Freedom tour, Afghanistan tour, Syracuse fan (grew up in New york)......thought it was "bad ass."

The fact that this douchebag tries to say that London has a GI Joe complex is absolutely comical. The full fatigues might be a bit much for some but he's done it every single year he's been here. He also was born at West Point, has an uncle buried in full military dress and his father is current being eaten away by Agent Orange. So go ahead and agree with Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. The guy doesn't have a f-ing clue what he's talking about and seems to have a more anti-military agenda to me than anything (keep reading his comments.)

Personally I think a Hat or a ribbon is good enough.. Wearing the full out attire is a little bit douche imo...

And you do realize that the main portion of the article was written by an active duty military member correct? Not a guy that works for any site or has any bias towards UVA, simply a member of our military. I know UVA fans don't want to hear, but it's part of the facade he builds, he goes overboard with everything, to try and prove just how much he cares.

Crying after a meaningless win? Come on
A full military get up? Get real

Does he love UVA and the kids in the program? No doubt. But he puts on a show for the public like no other. More coaching and less bitching would probably be smart.

My cousins are diehard Hokie fans and both fought in desert storm, they actually sent me a message on Facebook saying they thought it was great that London was honoring the military by wearing camo and then changing hats for the 4 services each Qtr. So your going to find all sorts of people the will have their own opinions but I would say it's been a lot more postive than negative. I hope they continue to do it every year.

  • I didn't have a problem with it and wouldn't think the casual fan would either. 52 does have a point that you can't be taken all that seriously when you go overboard on everything, like he does, but the average fan or military person would not know that...it's like complaining over every call, even when you are right you are just complaining on another call...again, great fan that knows what college football and players like...the opposite of Al

The fact of the matter is, we have NO IDEA who wrote that letter. If it was a current member of the military, I'd tell him thanks for your service. Now go learn what "wearing a uniform" means. He wasn't doing anything but wearing camo. Hell if that's the case, I'm sure I could go find a few people in Lane during a cold weather game that are "trying to play GI Joe."

"Full military get up" would involve bars, insignia, names, etc. The Commandant of the Marine Corps was there. He didn't seem to have a problem with it.

As for the complaining on the sideline, I sometines wish he'd learn to pick his battles. But the fact of the matter is he's changed more than one official's decision this year by working them. Given the level of ineptness from the majority of the ACC's officials, a coach is crazy if he doesn't spend the game working them. They're the most easily influenced crews I've ever seen.

    JoeHoo

  • By the way, the guy apparently also has a jock strap collection. Seriously.

But by all means, take his word on who can wear camo and who can't.
