    We dominate you in football? No kidding sherlock. How did you come to that conclusion? Did you need help?

    UVA is the on rise? Well you won 8 games last year, and then won 4 this year, so i'd say the opposite is true. Definitely not on the rise.

    Other sports? You can have the rowing wins. We aren't losing sleep over those sports.

    I never understand all of the crowing about Basketball from UVA fans, youre no better than us, and id say currently its very hard to pick one program over the other. Both are young, and lack depth, but have shown flashes of being good thus far.

    Quit saying UVA is on the rise you blind fool.. More talent? Possibly. Horrible coaching is going to be the downfall of London. You realize London is having a hard time feeling his vacant coaching positions because everyone knows how poorly he handled the firing of his previous assistants, not to mention the wrong ones fired. People in the coaching circles are turning down the open positions because they know London is a bonafide idiot..

    You do realize our bball team is 8-1 with a win over a Top 25 team in OK St. Right now VT would be favored in that matchup.. We have been splitting games for the most part for the past 5 years so the basketball gap isn't much. Baseball- yes you guys kick our ass, I can safely say that.. So you control Baseball and we control Football, we'll call bball a toss up.

    I wouldn't say he's having a hard time filling the coaching vacancies just because they haven't made the hires yet. It has been reported that the targets are coaching in bowl games. Also, it wasn't London's way of handling the firing of the previous coaches, it was above him. I agree the wrong ones were fired but once again, not all London's doing. Agree about football and baseball at the moment. I think our basketball games will be close this year and cannot wait until we play. Should be a good matchup

    Up vote for you sir but just one comment this past year in baseball they won 2 out of 3 and the two wins was only by one run in each game. We had them beat in all games but bullpen gave up the runs. So really if we looked at it like they look at football we are on the rise in baseball and almost caught up with them. Ok I'll also go back to football since that is what this board is about.

    While I don't disagree about some heat coming down from the top on the assistants but London had the final say so on the firings, so things could have potentially been different. There was 4 confirmed ppl that had turned down the open positions as of last week. Quite possible that some agreements could have been made by now I honestly haven't heard.

    True, most if not all are in our camp. Time is running out for hokie football. Look at their own board. They are ready to dump Beamer and their OC. They hear footsteps. 99.9 the Fan had a segment devoted to va tech football the other day and it's erosion over the last few years. Beamer ball is dead and Hokies football is moving away from the principals and practices that made it viable. Old coaches that are afraid of change. Now the game is passing them by. The good ole boys club will go down together if change is not made soon. UVA is once again becoming the popular choice for many of the state's elite players. Hokies know this hence the changes to their coaching staff last year. Be patient HOOS , the time for honoring themselves will soon come to an end.

  • Let's however give Beamer and Foster their due. They have had quite a run, and that cannot be denied. They made hokie football what it is and have provided us with a steep hill to climb. We ARE climbing that hill. Pay no attention to the 4-8 record. This year was about very young players developing. We all knew that going in. We now have more talent, and look for it to take over within the next year or two. There will be payback in due time.

    I have no idea if he correct or not but why is it a stretch that a hokie would know this and JO would not talk about it? JO isn't going to bite the hand that feeds him, he is clearly in tight w your staff. I think you will know of the job was turned down when the hires are made...and why is it a stretch that some one hasn't turned down an open position: if someone hasn't you are not shooting high enough and your coach clearly has a short leash and job security is a major issue at UVA now....spoken about by many of your in the know posters

  • Boohoo its so funny that when you bring up the truth they get so upset. The opinion of these uva fans is sooooooo funny that they are on the climb and that VT is headed down. We have had one bad year in 20 years but we are headed down. We have had 20 consecutive bowl games yall aint never been to 20 bowl games. You had to hire a handler to help recruiting because your coaches are not recruiting as well as tech, and when they do recruit well you fire them. Maybe the should have a class at uva on how to manage a clock. Didnt they storm the field and try to take down a goal post after beating miami. hahaha we did that to when we went to the national championship.
