    Hand is a beast, but don't let me get anybody fired up by saying he has stars in his eyes and will probably be headed to the SEC. I will say this the kid seems to be mature for a 17 year old.

    Huge Ky fan. Love Calipari. It warms my heart to see a guy doing it the right way

    Hokies fan since the 70's. Spent a week at basketball camp there in 78.

    Calipari is dirtier than some Hokies claim Chip West to be. LOL!!

    I give Hokies a hard time about being UNC & Duke fans, I know the older Hokie fans are loyal it's alot of the fans that jumped on the Hokie bandwagon when Michael VIck was doing his thing are the ones that aren't loyal to them in all sports. I don't know how it makes Hokie fans feel but it pisses me off when I hear some say they only like VT in football and are Duke or UNC fans in basketball, It's disrespectful to the true fans, I would feel the same about a UVA if they did the same.

    For all those that thought I was crazy for saying Tony Bennett is one of the best basketball coaches just not in the ACC but in the nation. Here's another well respected guru that has covered ACC Football and Basketball for many years.

    "Roy Williams and all the other coaches in the ACC aside from coach K could learn something just watching Virginia play. I just cant figure out why you watch a Virginia team hustle up and down the court and fight for every loose ball when you watch a Carolina or any other ACC team with more talent stand around and hope the ball comes to them. If you believe your eyes it's pretty easy to tell which team is better coached and more disciplined. Carolina and some of the other more talented ACC schools with more talented players just don't know what they're doing."

    I'm on the record as being a big Bennett fan. And I think he is exactly the guy that can take UVA as far as they can go. Conversely I don't see London that way, fedora scares me, if he stays.

    That is probable. Back to your Bennet post, guy is a hell of a coach plain and simple. He has a system that works, and once he his players understand it and by in, than you guys will be looking good. NC State is overrated this year as is UNC. Wouldn't be surprised to see UVA finish top 4.

    Agreed. ACC is pretty weak this year. Duke is easily the best team but everything I've seen from State and UNC has been pretty bad.

    They would never play in a system they had to learn in, think in, or have to work in. Once Bennett has more of his type of players, and adds some athleticism you all will be very good...he's going to get guys that want to be better overall players, and will work, and likely are used to working to be good, or they'll be gone, and that's OK when you will have upper classmen in the system, these are also the type of kids that will do well with the School aspect of UVA...again, kind of the opposite of What London is doing.

    I'm a huge fan of UVA losing but not winning? Not sure if that's disrespectful or not?

    Seriously, I do enjoy watching Hoo baseball.

    I wouldn't be so quick to discount the "bandwagon fans." It's a pretty good indication that your program is in a good place when you have random fans jumping aboard. I'd be far more concerned if none of those "at large" fans chose us, because that would indicate to me that our program was in the swirl, and had nothing to offer the frontrunners fan club - much like the situation you have at UVA.
