9 teams won the National Title 2 teams went undefeated 7 teams finished with 1 loss 5 teams finished with 2 losses 4 teams finished with 3 losses, includes BC that VT beat in the ACC title game.
It looks like a lot teams didn't "compete" with those "big boys"
It must have been nice to NEVER play Alabama, 0 games vs FSU before they joined the ACC and only 1 game vs Miami before they joined the ACC.

That arguement is soft at best. Even the honest Hokies know you can't win the big one, it's not only that but most of the times against these top teams they aren't even close games. That's been the arguement I hear from a lot of Hokies. It is what it is and the only thing that's going to change it is beating a Top 5 team. You'll have a chance to do that against Alabama to open the season.
