    Can't be worse than Morgan Moses at this stage. I can understand the injury aspect as you never know how a kid is going to comeback from a drastic injury like this. I would say the chance out weighs the risk. Also, there is talk about McGill's "antics" so that could be an issue as well.

    I don;t know a thing about McGill's academics but Morgan's deal was that he dug himself such a deep hole his first two years of high school that when he realized he was a D1 prospect it was almost too late to recover. But his grades his last two years were pretty darn good.

    I don;t get the impression that's the case with McGill.

    If a hoo talks trash on VT football without anyany success to back it up, is it really trash talk?

  • Holmes may not have UVA in his early "top 6" or whatever it was, but if Hokie fans know anything about recruiting it should be that Chip West is as good as gold down in the 757, and there is no prospect safe in Tidewater when he comes a' callin'.

    Blanding and Brown are as close to done deals as it gets this early on!! Bank it!!!

    Brown isn't according to any one but message board UVA fans, he's bigger on UNC from everything I've seen. You all though Blanding was committing to you this weekend, so if he doesn't I suppose that's a bit of a tell?

    I've never said anything about Holmes, in the summer we were making good traction with him doesn't seem that way now. You never heard me say all of sudden he's headed out of state. I've always said that about Hand.

    No I said Blanding was considering this weekend had since backed off that, the next best bet is our Junior Day. JO said in the spring at the latest was his best guess.

    I will say Brown isn't the lock for UVA he once was but I still say he ends up at UVA in the end. He knows for a fact that London and West will keep their word with early playing time if that's what he wants, can't be 100% sure with his other leaders.

  • You guys can say whatever you want tonight. I'm on cloud nine got one of the top 9th Graders in VA to commit to play on my AAU team this season. Kid starts on varsity and is their leading scorer at 16.2 pts/game. Doesn't sound like a lot but that's very good for a 14 year old playing against 17 & 18 year olds every game.

    You can't be serious.. I hope your not serious.. You realize we have landed more players from the 757 than UVA has in the last 2 to 3 years?

    Never said he wouldn't, I can assure you VT and UNC are the largest threats to the SEC schools however, not UVA, UMD, or anyone else. If I was him, I wouldve committed to Bama yesterday. We will see how this ends, he is a very smart kid, and not your normal #1 recruit in the nation. VT is very much in this race though, he loves Bud Foster.

    Yall signed 3 kids from the 757 last year, we signed 5.

    There were 9 kids from the 757 in the top 30, VT signed 4 of them UVA signed 3.

    Man you UVA fans are really building yourselves up on Andrew Brown, close to a done deal? bs_sign. You better watch the hell out for UNC. They could really be a pain for more than 1 top kid this year.

    Blanding is lock for UVA. I will say that over and over again it won't be long until he lets everybody know. I would say the second one down there closest to a lock now is Nnadi.
