    I cheer for VCU all year, as the local team. But I cheer for VT over everyone in everything. So that argument is pretty dumb, or 'nuff said I should say. Funniest part is 2 UVA grads also pull for VCU being the local team, but pull for UVA first and foremost.

    I see that you didn't have any response to my other comments about VT being young and having the same record. Remember running your mouth all last year about how much better UVA was? Only to watch your boys fall to VT.

    You mean rumors that either A) get started by worried locals that are NON Hokies or B) rumors that get started by your own fans on The Sabre?

    Again, this is us laughing at UVA, for your own fans breaking the news that smoke got arrested...,is he even 18? If not this should not be public knowledge

    Oh, and we have out recruited UVA in the 757.

  • I never mentioned out recruit you guys, I said it is tougher and that is fact. I am sure the person that posted the rumor is a fan from another team and you know that too. If it is true....which I doubt very much, I will be the first to say you guys were right. Again, i doubt it happened.

  • You should get better recruits since you are in the acc. You should always recruit at a high level but you need high level recruiters to do that. Clearly Frank is trying to address both areas with his new assistang coaches. You know as well as i do that you guys have it tougher since AG was let go.

    IMO, unc has hurt VT more in recruiting the past 3 years than uva. To me kids are either pro uva or pro VT, but not both. As the ole' saying goes " you'll get yours and we'll get ours". I'm more worried about unc than uva on the field an on the recruiting trail. However, i do agree with you on the changes that CFB made, i believe it will pay big dividends next year.

    Apparently Smoke was arrested trying to sell weed to an undercover cop masquerading as a football coach....I think his initials are M. L. hope to hear more from my "source" later. Hopefully acting Head Coach TOB does not revoke his scholie since he is such a "HIGH" quality recruit.

    AG had some highly ranked classes, especially at the beginning. We seemed to weather that storm just fine.

    Wont mean much after another awful year for London he will be gone and you guys can recruit the 757 with TOB.

    Yup, that's me, football is king. I follow every VT sport, however a W or L doesn't make or break my day in anything besides football. I don't sign up for message boards involving baseball, swimming, ping pong, or any of that.

    You guys are in the ACC as well and better geographically located for all recruits in Virginia and you guys rely on a certain "bond" with wanna be coaches. Other than that we own the state, our success over the last century or two has helped that obviously.

    Once the new coaches get cozy which may take a year then if everything that is said about them is true then we will be even more successful on the recruiting trail and on the field, but that's all hearsay at this point.

  • Repeating a rumor that involves a recruit doing something illegal is even low for you guys. It would be different if it was reported by a newspaper or somebody credible. I know DAMHOO personally and he's on the Sabre everyday, if he says the guy that started the rumor over there was a Hokie than I believe him.

    LOL not this crap again, nothing will happen on any front of the ACC losing teams until the Maryland lawsuit is settled, if Maryland ends up having to pay the $53 million nobody else is going anywhere in the ACC. The ACC is going to get a bump up in revenue with their TV contract anyway when Louisville and Notre Dame start playing conference games they have the right to re-negoitiate the contract when teams change and Louisville and Notre Dame bring alot more than Maryland ever brought to the table. So the other conferences can claim they can offer more money but the ACC knows what it's doing.
