  • Haven't worn any other team's gear other than VT, except Ohio State, since I used to live in Columbus. But last wore that about 8 years ago. well, Oregon gear is on the way. Haaaa

    Yeah way to schedule Alabama next year and then 3 other cupcakes to your schedule for OOS. ESPN is already saying you guys have the easiest schedule in the ACC next year even with opening up with Alabama.

    Well adding Pitt to the ACC changed our OOC schedule as they were to come to Blacksburg as part of the series. We had to scramble to replace them.

    2015 OOC schedule right now unless something falls through with the Alabama home and home, we will play At UCLA Auburn in Atlanta and Alabama at home. Why wouldn't the top recruits want to play big boy teams like that.

    Your AD must be high... 2 of the 3 maybe, but unless you want to be permanently relegated to Duke status, i'd tone down the schedule a bit. Why would top recruits not want to play the big boy teams? They do, but not at places like UVA.

    In 2010 you played Richmond, Eastern Michigan, VMI and a USC team that went 8-5 (5-4 in the PAC).

    USC was supposed to be good, not our fault.

    Someone close to me said Blanding was a silent to FSU, and he said there is a better chance of him going to VT than UVA.. Those are the nuggets..

    We play at least one tough team OOC every year, look at VT's last 10 schedules and see how many years they played 4 cupcakes they knew they would beat. That's part of the reason IMO you guys can't win the big game, play better competition early in the year and get some true experience for later in the year. I never said we don't schedule easy games I was just stating we don't do it for every game of our OOS schedule.

    So, over the last 10 years, how many years would you guess VT has had a tougher SOS than UVA?

    To be fair what sets those Alabama's and LSU of the world on schedules is their Conference schedules. USUALLY they play creampuffs OOC..

    I agree... Just tough to schedule more than 1 tough OOC game when other schools keep backing out. Nobody wants to lose early in the year which in turn makes it tough to schedule.

    I think playing tough schedules will help he younger players the most. He have good talent on the roster. Let's see improvement next year and then we will have alot seniors that helping the your players they have seen before.
