  • Well the dunk contest blew until the last 2 dunks and the All Star game is a glorified dunk contest as well. I'm ready for March Madness. I have tickets to the Final Four this year (yes Hoos I know we won't be there), but got them for free and some behind the scenes passes so I gotta go.

  • I wish. My brother's best friend works for Octagon sports and his job is to make sure the celebrities and big wigs have fun at the larger sporting events. He's taken my brother to the Olympics, BCSCG, Superbowl and Australian Open in the last 5 years. Nice guy, haha.

    That's pretty big time. I posted on VTScoop last year that I needed a couple of tickets to a game, and about 5 minutes later someone pm'd me and said him and his wife would be out of the country and I could have his at no charge. Thought that was pretty cool.

    I never said we are in the lead or anything even close to that.

    I have stated just the opposite, that it is a very small window that has opened for Andrew and VT.

    Lets say we get Hand early, and he recruits Andrew at the major camps.

    Lets say VT has a BCS year next year, and UVA remains mediocre.

    Lets say Andrew visits the VT audio lab and is wowwed.

    The kid kept us in his ten for a reason.

    It might take a perfect storm for VT, but its still possible.

    I just don't get your downer attitude.

    We will agree to disagree, do we have a .01% chance of him coming? Sure. However at the end of the day it's mostly lip service. Great kid, father is a great guy too, VT just isn't in the cards. He'd be an awesome player for Bud however.

    Yea...but there are some comments about him on our board that make it not as bad as it could be. I think UVA had this same thing with some of their 13 recruits, lost their lead guy, opened back up, only to reaffirm. His buddies are coming up for spring practices, I hope we get him 100% back on board by the end of spring practices.

    IMO this kid is going to blow up this year, he will get a ton of touches in the new HS, and put up clown numbers.

    How weird is that statement that he is still committed but he's opening things up? I hate when UVA committs have done it in the past either your committed and your not, shouldn't be able to have your cake and eat it too. But that's the life of recruiting.

    It's a pretty ironic post. I always laugh when kids say that because they really just want to feel love again from other schools than 99% of the time stay committed to the original school.
