    Yeah he wasn't trolling. The guy that runs the FSU 247 was feeding him and the other members of that board a lot of BS, or as JO said was talking to all the wrong people to get the impression that he was a lock for FSU.

    I think everybody here knew we would get him but very few believed me when I said that is was going to happen soon.

  • I love the comments everywhere saying it's a long time until signing day and it's sad that people are pushing him to UVA, like he doesn't have a choice. I assure you for those who don't know Pretty on a personal level that he is very mature for his age. He is very capable of being able to sit down with his family and choose a school for himself which he did.

    For those that think he has only visited UVA and nowhere else youi might want to go back and read some articles. He was at UNC during football season last year and has visited more campuses than just UVA and UNC. They have all been unofficial visits just as the one's to UVA have been, he's just been to UVA alot more because that is where a lot of friends are.

    I have a neighbor that got denied to VT with a 3.7 1280...at a very good VB High School. Not even wait listed.

    what was his major? engineering? because if it were for general emission and not for a program you must apply for someone didn't send in his transcripts or something

  • No flame: How is London not on a hot seat? He is averaging 5 wins a season. He was just forced to fire half of his staff, the OC quit, and he is looking at likely not winning 6 again this year. If he isn't on a hot seat you all need to reevaluate your programs goals. Isn't a 5 win average the worst coach at UVA in over 30 years? Not a flame, you all should be better than London.

    Even with a recruiting average right at 25th nationally, he still has to be a top 25 coach to have you ranked there...and he hasn't shown that he can do that...Not even close

A school where Quin will still be able to succeed and play in the NFL. A school where his friends and family will be able to see him on a regular basis. A school where he has a powerful relationship with the staff. Maybe he won't win championships or even beat FSU, but those are all pretty powerful and significant reasons to choose a school to spend the next 3-4 years of your life at.. To say that Blanding was pushed to a school with so many legit factors behind it is really stupid and simplistic, but I expect as much from one of the most delusional and ignorant fan bases in the NCAA. Blanding is going to succeed no matter where he goes, so I think its the other reasons that should/do matter in his decision process.

    I get where you are coming from. With money we are shelling out in coaches I for one expect to see improvement next season. Do I think London will be fired if there is none? No but I expect the seat gets pretty hot in 2014 and with out significant improvement then we are probably looking at a new coach. If people are not expecting some sort of improvement next season after the money being spent then they are crazy. I not talking about just wins and loses but overall improvement.

    7 win season: UVA has only accomplished that once in the last five years (2011). Bowl win: UVA has only accomplished that twice in the last ten years (2003, 2005). Win over rival (VT): UVA has not accomplished that since 2003.

    Yup, and that season had VT fans enraged. The gap in expectations is enormous for these programs. Can you imagine if we were coming off of two 4-8 seasons in the past 3 years?

    Building a program from the ground up doesn't happen overnight. It requires patience. I'm willing to be patient with Coach London, and I think much of the fan base is as well. I didn't approve of shuffling the staff (for the most part) after this season because I thought they needed more time. I do think we ended up upgrading, though only time will tell on that front.
