The only thing I can say in defense of this year's team is that we were preseason #7 and ended up #4, only to get beat by preseason #1. NCSU certainly was the more talented team. Hats off to them.

Agree w/ you about State being talented. They've underachieved all year but may "turn it on" come Tourney time. I wouldn't be shocked to see them make a deep run.
That said, Gottfried is slimy and it allows him to recruit well but I think he's a subpar gameday coach. That will hurt them as soon as they play someone with similar athletes.
He's a poor-man's Lefty Drisell.
