I'll get this started, agree or disagree I have told this theory to alot of people but I think the run of VT wins in this series boils down to VT in the past 10 years has had alot more VA kids on their roster than UVA. I think with UVA getting more and more in-state kids again since London's been hired is going to make this rivalry mean more to the UVA kids. It's going to make this rivalry alot better all around and will mean more hopefully on a national stage in the next 5 years. God knows the ACC needs to start doing better on the national stage.

I'd agree to an extent, the best thing about recruiting in state consistently is that you have relationships with the coaches in the state that have been built over years so you get the heads up on certain players, good and bad, for kids on their teams and on other teams.

The further away form home you go the less intel you are going to have access too...and the more the state schools in those areas likely will have. There are outliers of course, we have certain coaches with great relationships in other markets, like I'm sure you all do.

I know you all hate it but I really do pay attention to how many kids we win in head to head recruiting battles with you guys, It matters to me if we pull more kids than you all that we both offer. Back in 2008 (I think it was 08) I said Al was done, it was the year that you all didn't have one kid in your class with a VT offer, and we cleaned up on in-state kids....that is a big deal. Now I am also not blind to the fact that you all are likely going to offer a few more kids than we are in the state, you need to after Al burned nearly every bridge in the state...so if we get 12 kids you your 7 that we go head to head for (I don't know the number)...it is likely a bit closer than that....and wouldn't London be pretty stupid not to offer kids that VT has been taking and beating his ass with?

You all are also suffering Al's slash and burn his last 2 years when he knew he was on a short leash and killed the program by burning every RS he could...that will take a few more years to recover from.

Oh yeah practice started this week so it's exciting. I'll be in Clearwater Bch Florida this week and we should get rolling after that. First scrimmage is against EC Glass the 10th and Kevin should be on scene for that. Then it's Brookville scrum on the 17th and then it's go time. Kevin had an ex player tell him that this is "the best team in FC history". The kid is a Hokie so I took it with a grain of salt. When are you getting down for a game?
