The Republicans are so full of seething rage they are willing to do anything to gain power. The smears they throw at Obama are pathetic and baseless. He is not an American, a muslim, he is not one of us, he pals around with terrorists and now this.

Republicans are rarely right, but Democrats are ALWAYS wrong, so I'm happy seeing them being willing to do anything to gain power. At least with them, there's a slight possibility of something being done to get this country back on track. With Democrats, it will never happen. Their policies are so dead wrong that there is zero hope with them in power.

As for the smears being baseless and pathetic, that's not even remotely true. Show me one "smear" that is baseless. Are they all dead on? Probably not, but everything they say about the man has merit. They just don't go far enough or have the spine to stand beside anything once some Democrat brings out the most pathetic and baseless attack of all, the race card.

You are a total idiot. Look at your own party for lunatic fringe. the 99%'ers are all you.

The tea party gets permits to protest, does nothing violent, nor do they shut down business in the city... and they clean up after themselves.

I can just feel the rage, the hate and the anger just flowing through you.

Good for him. I do a lot of work for the SEALS. There's almost nothing I wouldn't do for them. Their place in Coronado is fantastic.

We just called Bush an idiot. We never questioned if he was an American. We never challenged his constitution right to hold office. Republican on the other hand have done those things.

Why would you question if Bush was about American or question his Constitutional right to hold office? There was never any reason to IIRC. Obama, on the other hand, was in all likelihood not born in the US and, therefore, has no Constitutional right to be the president of this nation. Even if he was born here, Republicans have every right (responsibility) to question that, given the circumstances.

Absolutely, considering he admitted it on camera. I'm not really sure why that one matters though. Nothing in the Constitution says a Muslim can't be president.

His name sounds Muslim, so for the down home country people who are good Americans but are very Christian, that kinda implies that he is a muslim.

My problem is this, why does it matter if he is Muslim or not?

It doesn't. It's just one of the reasons why he shouldn't be president in those good (but very American) Christians' opinions. And something they're very vocally adamant about.

Every job I've ever had required me to provide proof that I was eligible to work in the US before I was hired and I've never held a position where the Constitution said I even had to be a citizen, much less a natural born citizen, in order to hold it. So, the "circumstances" being his unwillingness (inability) to show that he was eligible for the office he was elected to.

They are Southern Baptist, I grew up in a church like this... its just very conservative. they want they're president to have the same beliefs they have... like my grandparents.

Did you have to prove to the whole company that you were a citizen or just HR? There's the difference.

    Probably TLDR for tonight, but

PolitiFact | 'Birthers' claim Gibbs lied when he said Obama's birth certificate is posted on the Internet

Update: We first posted this item on July 1, 2009. Since then, the Birther movement has only gained more national exposure, including discussion on numerous political television and radio programs. That prompted Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii Department of Health, to issue this statement on July 27, 2009: i and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this ...

I certainly question things when people put forth as much effort as he did to hide evidence. I guess that fits your broad definition of "birther", which is fine with me. Your entire belief system fits my definition of "ignorant". I assume you're not bright enough to see that as a problem though. After all, you're defending Obama. That's the very essence of ignorance.
