    So, in other words, rather than actually do some research and get into the economics of the situation, you will blatantly say, "NO SORRY HE DOESN'T AGREE WITH MY PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS I DON'T BUY IT NO NO NO!!!" Then, you will call people who disagree with you uninformed and condescend all the time. That's one of the more hypocritical things I've ever heard.

    I'm not liberal fiscally or economically. I don't like the health care bill. I will not be voting for Obama in 2012.

    But I will freely admit the private sector caused the housing crisis.

    No, he's not 12. What happened is that someone wasted a few minutes of their tike explaining economics and the government's role in the most recent economic crash then he, in all of his 65 IQ glory, regurgitated it on here, getting most of the facts wrong and even struggling with the terminology. The result is the absolute greatest WTF moment of my weekend so far. Thanks for the laugh.

    It's delightfully hillarious how the 2008 crash was quite obviously caused by multiple factors, but ideologues on either side simply discard the causes that aren't convenient to their ideology. For instance, your analysis sidesteps Fannie and Freddie, the ownership society that began with Clinton that both parties own, and the fact that companies were encouraged to give these loans by politicians of all stripes, the fact in many cases they'd be called mean racists if they didn't, etc etc. It's so much more fun to just cherry pick facts that make it the bad guy's fault.

    Fannie and Freddie contributed to the housing market's collapse, but were not the primary cause.

    Companies gave these loans out at their own accord, there was no political pressure. In fact, the smartest thing GWB ever did was call meetings in his administration to try and slow down the rate at which these companies were giving out loans.

    By the way, since most people who criticize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have no idea what those companies actually did, I'd like you to tell me.

We also know, without question, that GWB was born in the US and we also know no one ever asked him to provide one. Thus, one was never provided. We also know that Obama refused to provided one when asked. Yet again, when logic is brought into a discussion, you lose. Of course, that's what you expect. Logic is like kryptonite to a liberal.

    Because the individual mandate aspect of it may be unconstitutional.

    That said, and this just must be my "crazy liberal bias" talking:
    passing 2,000 page bill which may contain 1 unconstitutional mandate is better than starting world war 3.
