The St. Louis Rams could get good quickly.....

  • They went 7-8-1 last year. Biggest issue was offensive line and they just signed Jake Long for LT which will improve the unit across the board. I see a couple of sites saying they will take Jonathan Cooper from UNC with their first pick in the first round, an elite G/C. Walterfootball has them taking Alec Ogletree with their second No 1.

They also have a good bit more cap room. Seems like Jeff Fisher is building a team that will be a tough out going forward.

  • In the NFL there is a small margin between 6-10 an a SB Champ.. Rams were the youngest team in the NFL last year an went 4-1-1 against their division. No reason to think they can't compete with 49ers an Seahawks who are supposedly the two best teams in the NFC

Agreed. Seems like they still need help at WR.

Robert Quinn, Michael Brockers, and Janoris Jenkins are still crescendoing on defense. Those three could be very very influential players this year.

  • It's easy to slam Bradford but most everything I read is that most in the league still like him a lot. He was picked by the worst team in the NFL and that team didnt improve for two years at all. Now they are trending up, they hit a home run with the RGIII trade and will really climb now.

Dudes a total pussy. Will never mount to anything imo.

  • As long as the Rams have Bradford as their QB they will not prosper.

As long as Jake Long can stay healthy then the line will improve. However, the last couple of seasons have been rough for him. However, if he stays healthy then he is one of the best in the game.

Who is their running back now?

No one. Rams will be garbage this year. No receivers, a qb that gets injured from being looked at the wrong way, and no RB. Long isn't even that great anymore. Defense should be pretty solid tho. Lulz at this thread.

  • Lost Amendola too. Don't see them being relevant.

    Big A

  • They have a lot of young talent - for RB I expect them to use Pead (2nd rounder last year) and D. Richardson (7th rounder last year who was better than Jackson was).

At WR, Brian Quick was the first pick of the 2nd round from the middle of nowhere. He had to spend a year learning the system, but should break out. Chris Givens is nasty in the slot and as a big play guy - he had a very nice rookie year.

The Rams are young, Bradford, for how much people give him crap, essentially was a poor man's Joe Flacco last year (very, very similar stats despite being on a much worse team).

We don't have that much cap space, believe it or not, because we are still paying off the high picks from the old CBA. We should have more moving forward.

That said, if someone said the Rams will suck now and forever simply because they are the Rams and are a joke of a franchise, I wouldn't think they are that crazy.

He's also not a fit for Miami's zone blocking. The Rams run a traditional scheme, so that should help him.
