    Nice!

    I always wonder which one is your pops when I see a middle aged walker dude.

    This was the first time he really got close up shots. He got kind of beat up doing this scene over and over. Just bruises on his neck and shoulders.

    They actually had to go back and add a couple extra bucks on his pay because most of the close up extras who have a line, or in his case make a noise, are supposed to get paid a certain wage.

    Later in the Talking Dead they said Tyrese and his crew left the prison. He hinted they may make an appearance later. I haven't read the comics but I can't see how they could leave Tyrese out. Also to the poster who said Daryl became a spy for the govenor... Were you just trolling?? I don't see it happening

    Eh.. I didn't say definitively he was a spy. I posed the question due to an observation I made from the mid season teaser and some knowledge of the comic book. I agree after two episodes that he prolly is not a spy.

    Also, op stated he wished no comic book discourse.

  • Glenn is pissing me off - you see this is what happens to asian guys when there is no IT stuff to do....

    He pulled this ish in season two when he froze during the gun battle at the bar - now he is doing it again because Merl beat the piss out of him and he feels his manhood has been taken by the Guv for seeing Maggie topless.

    Now he storms off - throwing a temper tantrum and while he is gone the Guv snipes the prison and Glenn drives on by him like "hey, what did i just miss" - I assume Glenn will have another meltdown because he was not there again to protect anyone....

    I did however wonder last night which character has the worst Body Odor at this point - everyone is dirty and sweating all the time - Gotta believe it is Rick or Michonne - neither look like they have had a bath in weeks and Michonne had guts all over her not too long ago.

    I actually think the attack will affect Rick more than anyone else, and might snap him back out of crazy town. It's ultimately his fault there wasn't anyone on guard and weren't ready for the obvious attack coming. Glenn even admits he's the 3rd string leader after Rick and Daryl. He just doesn't have it.

    Good looking out - I have Talking Dead DVRd but have't caught it yet. I still think it's a little odd they just had them leave off screen like that with no mention of it. If there weren't a talk show we wouldn't know that.

    It was a Woodbury guy and he ran back to the truck that the guv and that other dude were firing from. He was decked out in what looked like some bullet proof riot gear or something.

    So how does that work? Can your pops throw in a grunt or scream whenever he want and pick up an extra hundred bucks? Or is that stuff scripted?

    The first forty minutes were slow like the ep before, but the last twenty were nuts and should keep that pace going for several to come. Merle being back with the group should be an interesting dynamic in & of itself. The preview of him talking to Herschel talking about the Governor in Talking Dead gave me chills.

  • Amazon (and i'm sure many other places) are actually selling a comic "compilation" in two or three book collection. Have any of you read these? They sound like a much more economical approach to buying each comic issue.

    Scripted for the most part. I'm sure they can edit it out if need be, but the main reason was some of the professional extras aren't big fans of the asst director giving a friend scenes like that. If they pay him the correct wage there can't really be a complaint.

    He said yesterday they shot that scuffle with Rick for 5 hours.

    Yes, those are the versions I've read. The first 8 Books are currently out, with each book consisting of 2 volumes each (6 issues per volume). Each Book is essentially a years worth of issues, and they seem to release each book in the Fall (Oct-Nov time frame). They also have recently decided to release Compendiums, which consist of 48 issues each (4 volumes per compendium).

    I really like the hardcover "Books". It is definitely a better deal going that route, and you also get the cover art of each issue at the end of each book along with some behind-the-scenes sketches and dialog.. It also gives me something to look forward to each year.

    Thanks, the Compendiums is more what i was referring to. I think i may go that route, at least for the first 96, then buy the smaller books after that.
