The hitch hiker thing kind of bugged me. Not that they left him, because at this point who do you trust. What bugs me is that this guy survived the whole time up until now, then gets housed walking on the road. If the guy has survived this long he's smart enough not to become a road buffet.
I did love how they looted his pack though.

My girlfriend asked the exact same thing about the backpacker. He has survived this long, he should know better than to walk down the middle of the highway while screaming his head off.
Two really good shots at the end. Seeing Morgan moving the bodies through the hole in the wall, and the backpack lifted into the car.

I've been thinking about that backpacker. I think he must have gotten kicked out of a group for whatever reason. Stealing, assaulted someone.......something. No real loner walks down the street and screams and chases some random car they see. The real loners are holed up in some shack like that guy they found, or like Morgan.

my brother and I discussed it, I kind of took it as the lack of humanity shown to him by rick and them was kind of the straw that broke the camels back and he kind of gave up on survival mode. When you let your guard down you die.

In the first season they talked about how some come back sooner, others take more time. Maybe he had recently been killed and not come back yet.
