How many episodes left? I'll probably still take the Under.

12 more episodes. It's a 16 episode season. I can't even begin to think of where they are gonna take this thing.

  • Has anybody here read the books or comics or whatever they are? Don't spoil anything but was wondering if the show was staying pretty close to the comics or if they have changed alot of things?

They've stayed true on some things but changed on others. It's got enough similarities to the comics to make it familiar to those of us who have read them but unique enough to not make it feel like a simple retelling. For example, T-Dog goes out in a bit more style in the comics.

What I love and give major props to the show for is sticking to the no one is safe mantra from the comics. I've seen people comment about the show "blowing its load" in regards to killing major characters and even replacing some with others, but that's the whole point IMO. The comics don't give a flying fvck who you like as a character; it's the end of the world, no one is safe. And every time the show's writers are willing to turn Shane into a zombie or let T-Dog get eaten or have Carl shoot his own mother in the head makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. But the show hasn't QUITE reached the degree to which the comics did that, but I won't spoil anything for anyone.

I slept the best I have in years last night....... Life is good. smoke

I think Lori always considered her pregnancy as a death sentence, although whether or not Carl *actually* shot her is up for debate IMO. I think he did but we'll see. I've never been a Carl fan either but he's most definitely sacking the eff up as of late. Just as soon as he tags Beth he will morph into a full on bad ass IYAM.

I too have always wondered what happened to the father & son from the pilot. Lennie James is a really solid character actor & I'd love to see him back in the show as a regular at some point.

If Andrew Lincoln doesn't win an Emmy for that performance last night, then it's a GD joke. He was absolutely brilliant.

The Walking Dead's Sarah Wayne Callies Sounds Off on Sunday's Shocking Episode - seattlepi.com

Stop reading if you haven't watched Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead! The AMC drama is no stranger to shocking deaths (RIP Shane and Dale!), but Sunday's episode packed a punch with two cast members biting the dust. After a rogue prisoner unleashed a hoard of walkers on the survivors, T-Dog (IronE Singleton) sacrificed himself for Carol (Melissa McBride) by becoming zombie chow, while Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) succumbed to complications while delivering her baby. Guy and I go back to Prison Break, I love him. Guy and I spoke about wanting to shoot it with enough elegance that it wouldn't be gross and have heart. Lori's had this death sentence from the beginning, but the opportunity to say goodbye is a luxury most people don't have on the show and I think Lori says goodbye to Rick in a lot of ways beforehand. Including that scene on the bridge at the end of episode 2, which in retrospect turns out to be the last conversation they've ever had. Yeah, and the hardest thing about shooting that scene was not making it about that. There's this great Emily Dickinson poem called and it's all about a woman who's in the process of losing her life and the thing that grabs her attention is a fly. The only way we can do it well is by having a really safe environment so we can take big risks, look like an a--hole and fail. Callies: I think Lori and Rick evolved together from when they were very young so that he could be the gas and she could be the brakes [Laughs]. • OK- im gonna be a pain in the ass here. But anyone that's willing to help me out- it would be greatly appreciated.

I only just started watching this show a few weeks back, when AMC was running the Season 2 marathon. I was instantly hooked. Im curious: if anyone could give me a cliff notes version of what happend in Season 1. Even if its just the most important things, that i'll need to know about going forward.

The only thing i've noticed so far, that I missed in Season 1 is: Merile(?) being left on a roof handcuffed...and now he found the 2 girls, and they ended up at this "town" that appears safe, yet- not so safe.

Thanks for any feedback: either in this thread- or feel free to PM, if you like.

I would definitely still watch season 1. It's only six episodes.

Not quite as entertaining as the episodes in season 2/3, but still solid TV

I thought it was better than 2 at times, and 2 was better during other times. Either way, I started on season 2 episode 1 and had to go back to season 1 before I continued. It was a good choice, it really helps you understand the show.

I just felt like the amount of "bad" episodes in season 2 was countered with the amount of good ones.

1 didn't have the opportunity due to only 6 eps.

    Still great TV

I keep thinking they're doing some kind of testing on people to see if they can figure out how to turn them back, hence the long list of women's names in his book.
