  • I'd like to know some major differences between The Wire and an episode if Law and Order, Criminal Minds, or CSI besides the fact that it's on HBO so more sex and the while focus on drugs.

    That's what I thought as well, it's one of the best shows I've ever seen it's on Netflix i suggest you watch; The Sopranos is another epic show give that a look as well..

    For starters, season 2 is by far the worst..... I'm a big fan of the show & I've never had a problem admitting that. It was brutal. That kid with the big mouth makes my 5 people I'd like to punch in the face list. Just awful...... In saying that, 3 & 4 are great & I liked 5 a lot too.

    Agreed. While it is the slowest I really love the interconnectivity of it all.

    I appreciate that not everyone will love it, but Season Two sets the stage for Seasons 3-5. Without it you never get Marlo, Snoop, and Bunny.

    I agree with Sons of Anarchy. While I don't think it is that deep of a show, it is very clever and Charlie Hunnam is brilliant.

    Also people don't recognize him from Green Street Hooligans sometimes. I think it's awesome how well he masks his British accent.

    I think you need to temper your expectations. This show is not going to have plot twists or keep you guessing. Sadly, you're going to know what happens to each character but that's what makes it so great. You look back on a season and you knew that they were going to get to this point, but you didn't know how they were going to get there. It's about as real you can get in a show. It's great at showing character progression and how everyone evolves in a city where nothing really changes in terms of the drug culture. It is my favorite show because it captures how communities are immersed in the drug trade by portraying the distributors, manufacturers, customers, the enforcers, and everyone else associated. You would probably love Season 3 because it has the most drama, but to me Seasons 1, 2, and 4 were my favorite seasons because it touched on key aspects that show how and why Baltimore has become notorious for its drug distribution.

Anyone that approves of this show is dumber than a bicycler on a major highway. You that approve of this show are dumber than Obama and a rock. If you can get past the F grade Acting and lack of anything that resembles action or a interesting story line you may can watch all the seasons. It is made for retards that are watching and say " oh yeah I did that". I watched season one and two episodes of season two. Which despite all odds they got the team back and guess what got a warrant for another wire. (shocking i know) By far the most overrated show ever. Yes I'll give you retards that the Omar character is good but it doesn't over come the waste of time that is that show. Some of you people need help. Y'all probably like the movie step up three.
