Sweat was out, we didn't have an option. There was 74 points scored in that game, I don't think anybody on either team played great D that day(and yes he was injured and toughed it out for us).
But seriously, even as a scUM homer, you have to admit this kid looks like he's going to be a star.

na that would be cam lawerence of miss state. 2nd in the sec in tackles last year. always around the ball and has pretty decent speed. should be preseason all-sec this year.

I think Shazier will be very good, I don't think he's even close the top LB in CFB right now though, or even the top LB on Michigan's schedule excluding Bama. Teo'o to me is a better more complete player.

Pretty sure it was both.
3 plays off the top of my head when Shazier was directly responsible for a big Michigan play.
Seam route to Koger where Shazier couldn't keep up that went for 20.
Denard was dead to rights on busted play that should have been a sack inside your redzone where Shazier missed a tackle in the backfield. Went from potential 3rd and10+ to 3rd and 1 where Michigan ran a little PA that left Koger wide open for a touchdown.
Toussaint run for 40+ yards where Shazier thought the play was going outside and he fell, Toussaint went up the middle for big yards.
Sure there was more, just what I remember.
