The best player on your team

  • Most will probably say Silas Redd, but I'm going with Jordan Hill.

Dee Milliner, he's also our most important player defensively.

It's a sad day when I truly can't put a players name from my team without feeling foolish.

If I had say one player I hope can do big things it would be Anthony Chickillo, kid put on some weight and was a productive frosh.

    shrug

FWIW.. Chickillo was highly underrated as a recruit out of high achool IMO.. Even though he was still ranked pretty high.. He should have been higher I believe..
That said, He has the best motor I have seen on a kid in years.. He will be a great player.

Not even our best player defensively let alone our team...

Defensive side of the ball Jesse Williams, Lester, Mosely, and Nico are all better.

Kid can prove to be good this year but he is no where near the best player on our team.

Yeah he might have been my favorite player in their class last year

  • Lattimore if even close to healthy. Ace Sanders and Connor Shaw will have big years on offense, also.

Clowney will be a big time freak this year.

I could honestly name a bunch but my favorite players who should breakout are

1 - Karlos Williams - athletic ability is off the charts and he has a pension for knocking the absolute shit out of you when he makes contact.... some of his hits on KO team last year were thunderous

2 - Lamarcus Joyner - he is only 5'8" 200 pounds but the fact he starts should speak volumes and he is imo the best player on the team.... starter on Kick Returns too which should speak even louder to his athletic ability.... a true football player this kid is and will likely be 1st team All ACC and potential All American candidate as a true JR

3 - Nick O'Leary - we have never had a TE at FSU like this kid, just an old school badass type of player who brings a new dimension to our offense

4 - Christian Jones - Best LB we have had since Lawrence Timmons, with a larger role in the defense he should become an all american candidate this year

5 - Timmy Jernigan - Best DT we have had maybe ever but certainly since Dockett in the early part of the 2000's, kid was bustin heads like I have never seen from a true freshman and he is a mean SOB who just wants to kill everybody

Joyner definately a stud.. Good pick.. and Jernnigan is beastly.. but I really like Nick O'Leary.. Great TE

  • Florida fans willing to actually discuss something.....

I added a jab in my first page response on Shariff Floyd but in all seriousness what is the deal with him? Obviously he was much hyped in HS, looks great from a measurements stand point and how he's proportioned. But he's put up hardly any stats in two years and watching him in your spring game he lacks explosion and takes forever to disengage a block. Yet I see some say he's potentially your best player defensively.

    Any thoughts?

    fsufsu

  • Fsufsu, I disagree with taking forever to get off of blocks.

Last yr it was a new system, first yr starter, first time playing DE.

He's been forced to play the de, but he should be moving back inside this yr, hopefully.

  • I mean forever is a stretch but i watched today expecting to see a young man coming into his own and was underwhelmed. Damien Jacobs looked good though. Undisciplined and raw but he's good. Kinda has a Jaye Howard feel.

    fsufsu

  • Yeah, but screw the spring gm, good and bad.

Jacobs looking good just means someone on the oline hasnt improved much.

I dont like Floyd at de, there's something missing. He's good in the middle, and he said recently thats where he'll be in the fall.

So I got my fingers crossed. I still think he'll play outside alot though.
