Michigan St definitely deserves a #1 if they win today.
Ohio st hit the skids towards the end, but with possibly 2 wins over Mich St late in the seasons, they made a good case, if they were to win today.

I would almost guarantee you that Michigan State and Ohio State are locked into spots and today's game will have no bearing. There just isn't enough time to accurately set the field if they wait on the outcome of that game. The selection show will begin probably within 20 minutes of the end of that game, which means the picks will be in prior to that happening.
Unfortunately, the teams that finish up their conference tournaments on Sunday afternoon don't get as big of a boost as the teams that finish on Saturday.

Eh, Ohio State maybe doesn't matter, but I still think Sparty deserves a #1 seed if they win. I don't think it's that hard to swap a 1 and 2 on short notice. I know each group of 4 #1 seeds is ranked and each group of #2 seeds and so on, but still, it shouldn't take that much time. I think UNC coulda locked a #1 up with a win today though.

They have the whole bracket set already. Since there's the pod system, the winner is probably slotted as the #1 out West and the loser is slotted as the #2 in the Midwest or something.
Those would be the only changes.

Hell, I'd rather lose in that scenario. I also think making this one game the deciding factor out of a season of 35 games is beyond retarded. But now I'm just venting.
