  • Looks good. I thought Shittu should be downgraded as well and Fowler or Casher take his spot. 247 is the one site who hasn't gotten the memo on how truly elite FSU's DE class is but obviously they are not that far off either. Great list, thank you.

  • Figured Greenberry would jump but that's a huge one. Kid has gotten rave reviews from just about everyone at the camps so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

    I can see Burbidge being an absolute monster in the upcoming years in college. I know in the past there were worries about his grades, has anyone heard if that has pretty much been taken care of?

    Yeah, that's the other argument you won't see many enter into because no fanbase has begun to "represent" Agholor the way fanbases do when a kid is leaning to them and since Bama stole Black we don't want to sound sour but Black is a top 50 recruit (STUD) but Agholor is the five star. Not sure how 247 sees differently.

    Agreed 100%. Agholor >>> Black easily. Diggs vs Agholor would be a tough one, but Black is clearly the third WR in Florida IMO.

    I'm not sure where other people have them rated but we've got FSU's DEs rated as 3 of the top 8 DEs in the country, all in the top 45 nationally and Mario Edwards is the top DE in the nation. That's not exactly sticking our nose up at them.

    Casher is definitely in 5-star striking distance.

    The only problem with our DE ranks, is Mario Edwards. He should definitely be in the Top 5 nationally. Everything else looks perfect.

    We're not in too much of a disagreement on Agholor. He's the first four-star for the second straight release. We're obviously only about an inch away from pulling the trigger on him as a five-star. He was definitely considered this go around and if this was February, we'd probably be ok going with him.

    That was actually a big reason for his jump. We don't want to be too focused on academics but the reality is, academics can be a pretty big factor in what kind of a prospect someone is. Now that it looks like Burbridge will qualify, we decided that he needed to make a jump.

    From what I've read, he did well in summer school (two A's) but still has a little work to do to qualify. At this point though, it's not near as big of an issue as it was a few months ago.

  • Barton, this guy isn't really part of the top 100 or even 247, but what's the deal with Nick Tompkins? One of the most impressive films i've ever seen against the top competition in Georgia, plus a very impressive offer list and he's a middle of the pack 3-star. Can you explain what the knock on him is?

    Burbridge beginning to get his grades in order is one of the reasons he made a big jump in the Top247. He had two As in summer school and Michigan State is confident they'll be able to get him enrolled. We were worried he was going to have to go the JUCO route, but Aaron is focused in the classroom according to his coach John Herrington.

    On the field, there was never doubt with his game. His film speaks for itself and Herrington says he's gone sub 4.4 handheld.

    The first week of the season he'll matchup all evening with Michigan commit, Top247 prospect Terry Richardson. I look forward to that!

    I just realized that our highlights posted for Ross are pretty limited. We need a picture on him too. Yes, we'll work on that. Something tells me he'll have plenty of highlights this fall to add to it too.
