Do you believe it's possible that Romney didn't pay taxes?

It's an issue just like obamas birth certificate.

not sure if you've heard of the online group 'Anonymous' but apparently they've hacked into the records and have Romney's tax returns for the past several years and plan to release them in the coming weeks

at least I've read that, I hope it's true b/c I'd love to see him respond to that...

no I don't hope that...but it is happening whether we want to or not...point being in that if they are going to release it like they say they will I want to see what a presidential candidate on the podium who is put on the spot about his past has to say...Romney is defiant he doesn't want to talk about his personal past and his finances

I want to see how he backtracks and handles that

how so? is it asinine that I am ok with the law being broken if it brings a little honesty to the presidential campaign? yes it is

I just don't trust any politicians and want to see them face honest and difficult questions to see how they respond...not how they respond to pre-determined questions

  • Both are smarter than you give them credit for. Both have advanced degrees from Harvard.

Politicians have to play dumb because that is the best way to get elected. George Bush was a master at this. Do you really think someone with a prep school education and degrees from Yale and harvard can't pronounce "Nuclear" the right way?

As a matter of fact, that is asinine. You've bought into class envy to the point that you're willing to ignore an individual's constitutional and moral rights because he isn't on your team. That's disgraceful. As a matter of fact, it's reminiscent of the series of events that got Obama elected to the senate in the first place.

They lie enough that they have to hire "consultants" to help them remember and keep track of all their lies.

The campaign process is driving this country into the shitter.

Campaign donations leads to special interests, special interests leads to jack shit for the American public.

If everyone here truly believes both these guys suck, write in Ron Paul's name.

He never had a chance with the way media is run to prop up a two-party system that perverts the American public's perception.

Again, if you think both these guys suck, write Ron Paul's name down. Or hell, write down Collin Powell. Just please, whatever you do, don't admit that both choices are not satisfactory and then go with one just because.

I'm not a big Obama fan but Romney/Ryan is the worst Republican candidacy in a long time...I'm a Republican but won't vote that way this year

something I read was that quality candidates didn't want to run this year b/c they didn't want to go up against Obama...in 4 years from now the Republicans should have some quality choices and hopefully that won't include Ryan

The Republicans nominees this year have been caught in so many lies and Romney won't release his tax returns saying it 'goes against his spiritual rights'??? dafuq does that mean...funny that his dad released his tax returns when he was running for office (not presidency) in the 60s/70s and said everyone should release their tax returns

Obama is the less of two evils right now and I expect the Republicans to take back the White House in 4 years

And Obama and his administration haven't been caught in lies? Romney released two years of his tax returns. Why isn't that enough?

Of course Obama and his administration have lied but Romney released his taxes from 2010 (which is incomplete as of a couple weeks ago) and plans on releasing his 2011 in the future (hasn't yet) and refuses to discuss his finances for any years before 2010...kinda convenient don't you think? He's being accused of not having paid taxes for 10 years and he won't refute these claims with any proof. That's my issue with the tax returns

If this were Obama being shady about things I would say the same thing. Obama's administration's job performance is definitely lacking but Romney is not the guy to right the ship for America. I have yet to hear him have any plans with any numbers on how he plans on attacking the unemployment rate, health insurance, social security, and most importantly our national debt
