  • CFB isn't that important: Tsunami warning

USC lost this morning, but suddenly I don't care.

  • Where do you live? I heard there was a 7.7 earthquake off the British Columbia coast, guessing over there or Hawaii?

Hawaii. Guess they over estimated it, but I have to be at work when things like that happen and I work a block away from the water. Thanks guys (and lady)

  • If the quake was off the coast of Canada, how long would it take to get to the islands?

It was pretty fast. Don't know what time the quake happened but we didn't get the warning until 730pm HST and it rolled in at 1030pm HST.

Usually we get a good 5 or 6 hour notice.

Glad it was a false alarm. And now you can get back to worrying about the important things... Like what you're going to have with your Kona coffee in the morning, loco moco or macadamia pancakes? Or whatever the hell a lucky bastard that lives in Hawaii has to worry about.

Heading out to Waimea this Dec to get a taste of big wave season... Watching only, obv.

  • My answer to the op is Latt's injury. Kid lost millions last night and maybe the ability to do the thing he's done best his entire life. Think about the night he and his family went thru and my Gators losing doesn't feel as bad as it normally would. Hope he recovers and comes back stronger.

I'm flabbergasted, particularly from someone from Florida or areas that have experienced devastating hurricanes...google "Hilo tsunami" and see what you get...

Lattimore will live, and his situation is a prime example of why these kids should chose a university that will provide them with a quality degree and lifelong alumni support.

Uhhh.. I'm not taking anything away from Alonzo or anyone else's on the west coast's predicament. And I'm sorry if I came across like that. I said my prayers for them this morning when I first saw the warnings on the news. I responded to the thread without reading anything but the thread title and the Latt injury is one of the things that puts shht into perspective for me. Geez, get off my neck.

Dundee was just providing another example. That injury may be devastating for Marcus and he is in a very tough place right now.

Thanks brotha I'm glad it was too. People get upset about the false alarms but its water under the bridge IMO, rather them be cautious.

This is the first year I get to cover the Eddie for work, so I'm pretty excited for wave season.

If you make the trip lmk and ill buy you some drinks.

There was no way it was going to be worse than the one we had from the Japanese quake and tsunami last year.
