Things will get VERY interesting next few days

  • We all know Chip Kelly is gone to NFL. reports are up to 8 teams will try to interview, including a couple still with coaches(Makes me believe Carolina is one.) That may be the scenario where Kelly would have best chance to succeed. Of course you would see a scramble by Oregon to try and get a great hire, but with NCAA allegedly ready to lay a big boom, that may be very difficult.

Then you have strong rumors that Penn State HC Bill Obrien is going to be taking one of two jobs shortly(likely Philadelphia) if that happens, here comes the full court press by Penn State after Al Golden, who I have to imagine would take it based on roots.

Miami then has to panic and will surely go Charlie Strong first, and cant see CS taking that gig with NCAA issues, and knowing he will be everyones top choice next year as well. Who does Miami try to lure? Is Chad Morris sexy enough after CU beat LSU? Would they try and steal a Mid Major head coach?

Cause Al Golden is a former PSU player and all his ties are to that area.

Is Diaz even going to keep his DC position? I heard FIU was looking at him, but I cant see a guy whose job is unsteady as a coordinator getting the Miami gig

Not worth the shit to go through IMO. I'd wait three, four years when they hire someone again.

I dont think Miami is going to have it any easier when NCAA finishes there.

Kelly is the brain behind it while our OC is his eye in the sky up in the box. He's been here the entire time Chip has been here so he knows the offense well.

But hes still not Chip. Biggest concern to me is in game adjustments and how well he can game plan.

The culture Chip brought to Eugene was just as important as anything else. Just need to maintain it.

  • Miami has served 2 post season bans. Right? Miami worked the system. Fvcking the kids on the team already, hard. Scholly reductions will still be their biggest issue.

  • So you played in the emerald nut bowl in 2009 then sat out '10, '11, and '12? Hard to notice with the bowls you guys skip out on.

The Nike Money, the uniforms, the branding will keep Oregon in the national picture for a long time. May have a few lean years if NCA jumps them as hard as is expected, but who knows with them. I have a 7 year nephew in Illinois that is all Ducks for no other reason other than cool uniforms and on field success, Im sure there are many like him

We are definitely the 'hot' team right now as far as popularity. I'm always surprised at how much Oregon gear I see while traveling. Saw multiple at JFK airport last night.

Fully agree, I'm more worried about looming sanctions than this coaching change.

Players don't give a rat's ass about crap bowls. (See Florida)

Some of you kids need to consider growing up so you can realize that players don't value the same things that fans do.

I was moreso posting what I'd like to see than a real possibility. He's got ties in Miami but I don't see it actually happening after abortion of a defense he rolled out this season.

I would love to see what Mike Leach could do at Miami.... That would be scary

A.Chickillo disagrees. I bet AG doesn't give a shit about missing 34 practices the last two years as well cuz of it. Lol, Canes.

We sat out two bowls & a conference championship game. That's three post season games. I know numbers are difficult to comprehend but please try to keep up.

    2 + 1 = 3 drool

Lol holy shit. That's two bowls. ACC said F off once you decided to sit out the bowl. Your ability to twist that into three makes you look Abs da don level homer/retarded
