The thing that astonishes me is that some people continue to believe that the ncaa has to adhere to some sort of rational guidelines.
If there handling of the miami case proves anything it proves just how berserk they actually are
Nothing that has come to pass shows in any way, shape or form that miami is in a good position as far as ultimate sanctions are concerned
People getting spun up over the ncaa are clueless because the ncaa is just an empty building in Indiana someplace. It's the schools themselves that staff it and elect what powers and authority to give it.
That's right, the schools are eating themselves.
I've read where the investigative committee counted an allegation as being corroborated if Shapiro mentioned it more than once.
I mean how can anyone feel confident about an expected outcome when your battling something as retarded as that?

Amen, in no way do I support the NCAA
But I know all too well that they do what they want, and answer to nobody
And the last thing they care about is public perception, Emmert will lay down the hammer on Miami.... then be asked to quit and take all of the storm from the media that follows
Meanwhile Miami lays in ruins for the foreseeable future which is all the NCAA wants imo
The NCAA will never let Miami just walk away unharmed, its simply not how they operate and especially if they just laid down a LOIC on them which is said to be the case ( that is easily one of the most serious penalties they can smack you with )
But all this backlash that the NCAA is getting and will continue to get is just, sadly nothing will ever be done about it just like always
The NCAA always walks away from these things with their noses in the air and not a single fukk given
Emmert is a total joke show though, and if anybody falls on their sword its gonna be him

my favorite part is when people mention taking them to court which is essentially like taking yourself to court
I don't see what the relevant outcome is
so they win a court case in the year 2019 or sometime around there
other than winning some ambiguous ruling which would probably be the only relevant win the program sees in a decade or more what the hell is the endgame and how does it any way impact potentially crippling sanctions that are coming in the immediate future?
