    By not enough evidence, you mean the star witness killed herself and the other girl decided not to press charges.

    It was an accusation in a dorm room of touching breasts. No witnesses and no marks. Basically her word against his. Supposedly she claimed he stopped because his phone rang. (Records show he actually made a call as opposed to receiving one.)

    Yes there was 2 text messages by another person, not a football player but supposedly a friend of the accused. Link to other football players threatening her. I have yet to read that anywhere.

    You are correct... it was a friend...

    Yet after Lizzy went to the police, a friend of the player’s sent her a series of texts that frightened her as much as anything that had happened in the player’s dorm room. “Don’t do anything you would regret,” one of them said. “Messing with Notre Dame football is a bad idea.”

    Seems pretty bad to me.

    nd football is like the mafia. Don't cross them or you will die (see multiple exhibits)

  • Obviously pretty terrible that somebody lost a life, but IDK how any of you guys get laid but you gotta bridge kissing to something else unless I'm just doing it wrong by specifically not asking permission to move along. Guy and girl make out...guy tries to fuck...girls shuts it down...guy leaves to make a phone call(hell probably to an easier girl)...sounds like college to me!! The caveat that the girl was clinically insane shouldn't be a condemnation of the young man right?

    There is really no such thing as being "clinically insane"...it's a layman's term.

    The girl saw a therapist. That hardly makes her insane.

    It's a "he said she said" and he had a lot more power on his side along with someone texting her threats.

  • Agree - really sad event. Life is crazy and I feel for her family and the family of everyone effected. I know the haters will not believe it - but the Notre Dame family was deeply saddened by this. It should not be used as leverage to fuel your football program hate for ND.

    Hearsay is 2 people with 2 different stories and no corroboration, they had the SAME STORY! They were hooking up and he felt up her breast...rape!! Now the texts are inexcusable and I don't know where the line is with the federal privacy acts(which are absurdly strict and uneccessarily complicated) but I'd have no problem with the actual bullies being confronted and charged with some form of harassment. Although, in the heat of the moment when a drunk girl wrongfully jeopardizes a teammate of mine for something so serious I might want to have a word with her as well.

    She said she didn't want him to do what he did. He didn't say that.

    My guess is you are young because of your boorish posts. Girls are allowed to say no. It's not ok, under any corcumstance, to do something a girl doesn't want. It's really not ok to stalk and harass a girl because she was going against "the team". And the entire time the nd football program is doing eveything they can to protect the player, the team and the stalker, but nothing for the girl. Sounds like a great place.

And your accusations towards the university are just silly because so many outside sources investigated this. Spare me the grandfather speech as well implying that just because I'm not a fan of slander and frivolous accusations that I somehow don't know right from wrong and that my mother simply forgot to mention "oh hey, by the way, don't rape any chicks."

This isn't even a court of law where you need indisputable evidence, all these crappy educational 'tribunals' only need enough to say that one side is more right than the other and they still couldn't press charges. Everything here is meritless except the text harasser who I've already condemned so unless you want me to throw away all rational thought and say "sure internet diety, you're probably right" then idk what you expect to get out of this.

    Who said I believe the player? I believe there was not enough evidence to charge the kid...apparently all those that investigated agreed. You yourself said it was a "he said, she said".

    My point is that this girl was trashed and thrown away by many (not all) fans of notre dame and she paid with her life. I have no more facts about what happened in that room than any of you. But when people state things like she was "clinically insane" and "she had problems before" are idiots. You weaken your own arguement.
