Well, I have been wrong before, but they do abuse it in other ways. That is almost against the point though, the point is that it needs to be more heavily regulated. Mandatory drug tests and such.

Yeah that worked out so well in Florida? What with the whole 2% failing the drug test thing? That ended up costing the state of Florida tens of thousands of dollars because of rather dim people believing in the myth that poor people use drugs more than middle class or even rich ones.
I guess since they arent on drugs, we have to find some other way to hate on them that cant be proven. I know, we will say they are all driving nice cars and have Iphones. No way to prove that right or wrong, and it lets us all still sit there smugly and claim that those jerks are abusing the system.

This is a very good post. In my opinion this is a severe problem in our coutnry. If you are able to work, then do whatever job is available to you. I'm not saying to clean toilets if you have a PHD right off the bat, but take what you can get. I'm above no job, period.

No, i am gonna drug test someone because they are receiving money from the government. I get to make the regulations, you do not get a say so. Not because the poor use more drugs than any other class. Grow a brain and try and realize it isn't discrimination. Stop reaching

Oh...so you want to waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on these drug tests, that are stopping 2% of these welfare people?
Where is your fiscal responsibility now? They are not finding massive drug use among the poor, and they are not accomplishing anything with these stupid tests, except making idiots feel better that they are proving some point that they cant even verbalize.
Its not about discrimination...its about people like you that use zero common sense when they come up with idiotic ideas like drug testing welfare recipients.

You obviously have live area all your life, because i can assure you the majority of people on welfare in my area, at least more than 2% are doing some sort of illegal substance. And if not as many people were on welfare as they shouldn't be in the first place, then there would be money to spend to have the drug tests done!
You are a complete tool, and have been for your one month on here. Hopefully you get banned, I have not seen you be anything but argumentative in nearly any thread.

So he brings fact to the subject, while you bring unfounded speculation, and yet HE is the one that is the tool?
And so apparently you want anyone that disagrees with you to be banned, nice.

It's a blue card that says Louisiana Purchase in white on the top with a yellow Louisiana on the bottom right corner, and has black numbers. Down here you can buy food raw seafood or cooked searood at seafood shops, hot plates at grocery store, I have no idea. You obviously have not been down here or stayed for a long period of time.
The 10th of every month Walmart is full of people buying groceries and you can see the vehicles in the parking lot. Usually a lot of nice ones, funny thing is the 10th is when people get their food stamp money credited to their card. Walmart literally runs out of groceries from people, I've been I know. If you want groceries go before the 10th or a week after, never that day or the week after, there will not be anything to buy.
So please don't talk down on me or act like I don't know what I'm talken about. I don't lie to make a point

Ah okay...so we gotta take your word for it, rather than the actual results from the Florida experiment. You know, because YOU have this vast experience with welfare people being on drugs.
So what are the reasons for giving these drug tests to welfare recipients? Why do it? The welfare recipients ARENT on drugs in Florida.....but you still, for your own petty reasons, put them in this category where they must be drug tested. So why? It costs more money to do so, and is accomplishing nothing. You have not given a single reason............can you get past your initial petty prejudices and explain why drug testing is a good thing?
And I hope you get banned. So there.
