    Umm, I have actual experiences with food stamps, seeing how I receive them.

    I also have worked at grocery stores as a cashier.

    I have also worked stocked at a grocery store so I know how much they buy as well.

    But don't ignore the fact that AM is the one bringing actual FACTS to this conversation, and you want him banned for it.

    And you are merely speculating that the nice cars belong to the people owning food stamps, it would be like me seeing a Ferrari outside a gas station and when I walk in I see a homeless person buying some gum and then assuming that the homeless person owns the Ferrari, nevermind that I never see him getting in the car or not.

    Blue they will sell the card for half of what it is worth to get cash to spend..I have no article to show, but I have read that happens...

I am not sorry if you don't agree with that, get over it. When you ask for my money, I get to tell you how you get it. It is truly simple.

    You do realize there ARE guidelines for receiving and using them, correct?

    You can't just use the card at McDonalds or use it to buy a TV or anything.

    Yes they do, but that is a vast minority of the card holders.

    They want to punish the 90-95% of people who use it correctly just to try and "oust" the 5% that don't.

    THE REASON YOU WANT THE DRUG TESTS IS TO REMOVE PEOPLE ON DRUGS FROM WELFARE...TO SAVE MONEY.

    IF NOBODY IS FAILING THE TESTS YOU ARE DOING EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.. YOU ARE COSTING MORE MONEY TO THE TAXPAYERS.

    So now instead of someone coming to you and asking for money. They are coming to you, asking for money, you telling them that they have to pass a drug test. They do so. Then you still give them the money, while you turn around and give MORE money to the companies that give the tests.

    Its not rocket science here...you are asking taxpayers to pay for these drugs tests in ADDITION to paying for welfare.

    So why do you want the drug tests? What are they accomplishing?

    i never argued that is how they get the drugs. I said I am gonna drug test them. I do not care how they get the drug, if you test positive for ANY illegal substance I am gonna take you faster than the snap of a finger.

    I do not see how anyone in their logical mind could honestly have anything against drug testing people who are receiving aid from the government.

    Because it costs the TAXPAYERS more money. There is zero savings, because so few people fail the tests.

    Now if you were catching even something as low as 25% of the people applying for welfare on drugs, then you turned around and threw them off the docket, I could get your stance.

    But you are arguing that taxpayers should not only pay for welfare, but also pay for drug tests that are not catching anyone. So you want them to double dip into my pockets because you have not taken the time or effort to see what the drug testing actually accomplishes?

    Ideal scenario, to receive welfare you have to have a proven reason you absolutely cannot do any job. If you are currently unemployed then you will be tasked with finding an application at a job(A list could be provided about the jobs hiring in the area) and you either apply at them or are not eligible. If you do those simple steps, along with possible a random drug test every so often, then bam. You are eligible to receive it until you are hired.

    I am strongly against any drugs of any kind, I mean we are already in a huge hole because of...well we don't even have to say anymore. So why not make it even more deep and do ourselves a service?

    Hopefully one day there is absolutely radical change to welfare, then maybe something like that idea i have would be given further thought and improved upon and put into place.
