It was nice to totally suck in 2010 and still win 10 games. Congrats to the 3 teams that beat us. Well earned.

In 2010 not only did the team not have the drive that Saban has applauded this team for, but they also had unprecedented injuries (Dareus, Julio, Ingram, Trent, Barrett Jones, Upshaw, etc all missed time during the season) and played an unprecedented schedule (an NCAA record of teams coming off of bye weeks).

The only game that the 2010 team played at full strength was Michigan State in the bowl and we all saw how that one turned out.

The 2012 Bama team is deeper without a doubt, with similar starting talent and good health so far (knock on wood).

We'll see.

I do to and disagree. Most Alabama fans were expecting a much better offense with a top 5 defense. We finished i te top 5 In the county on defense. Defense wasn't our problem in 2010. A top 5 defense can win you a championship. Our Offensive line was average as grits and patch work. Offense was our problem. Injuries. That 2010 defense was very good. It gave up some big plays but no more than 110 other universities.

Ummm no.

This team is unique. Elite talent at every position and experience at most positions. Only ?'s are WR2/WR3, CB2, & kicking.

Everywhere else we have elite talent & experience.

Doesn't mean we wont lose a game either.

Yea I'm confusing the other three years when it has been an average score of 35-10 or something, but still beat them at there place and it was something like four ranked wins in five weeks, but the hype was high.

This is true. Arkansas was an escape win after coming out shell-shocked. USCe was a beating as the Cocks played the most complete game in the history of their program. LSU and AU-- let's just say the Tide gave up some big plays at inopportune times and the ball didn't bounce Bama's way.

The reason 2012 will be better is the attitude and continuity of this team vs. that one, more experience and better players return on the OL and on D (5-6 starters vs. 2-3 on D), and more depth everywhere (except maybe QB).

If AJ stays healthy Bama SHOULD win every game with LSU as a toss up (And I'll take Bama at this point until LSU shows us something that playing North Texas doesn't allow a team to show-- they'll have their chances). Should doesn't always get you there-- you have to do it, but there is no doubting this team's ability to do it.

Somehow, because of last year's loss to LSU in overtime, the 2011 team is STILL underrated (beat everyone else by 16+ points and had NO close games). You want to talk about greatest teams ever assembled-- that and 2008 Florida are two of them and both had losses.

I think the lack of respect that 2011 NC team got compared to the 2009 14-0 Heisman trophy winning team is helping to feed the hunger and fight the complacency of the 2012 team. I think there is room for this team to be not as good as 2011 and still be the best team in the nation by a TD over everyone without being as good as 2011. It just can't pick LSU (or Arkansas) to have its worst outing.

Tell me where in my post I said anything about you saying anything about the gamecocks being a championship team.
