Tide fans - Duron Carter?

  • Have any Alabama fans heard about Duron Carter ending up in Tuscaloosa? Seems he's very interested in them and the feeling is mutual.

    From everything I've heard Duron is a good kid. He's just a bit spoiled and frankly not very smart. He couldn't hack it academically at OSU.

    He's a great player though and has huge upside.

  • JMO but it seems like if we can get him, we'll take him. And he must be a heck of a player since we took 3 really good WRs this past class in Sylve, Shinn, and Woodson and are expecting a little bit of attrition already.

    But he says he's up to 6'4" now, having grown a couple inches since OSU. If he's just as fast and can block well then if we land him, he could see some playing time this year. Most of the guys looking to get more PT this year are slightly smaller 5'10"-6'1" guys so he could definitely have a role this year if he's as good as advertised.

    Very good point. We have plenty of speedy slot WR's but with Julio and Earl Alexander gone we don't have a many physical WR's. It seems as though this Carter kid fits the bill as a big physical WR. I don't expect Bama to take many WR in this class. We lose 3 Hanks, Maze and Gibson after this season so I could see our staff taking 3 or 4 WR's for the 2012 class. Hopefully we can get in on DGB.

    Well, after years of failed attempts, I guess I thought I wouldn't see that BS anymore. Especially considering I haven't seen anyone bashing AU on this board for everything that's happened recently, and there's an actual investigation into those matters. JMO.

    I hear ya man. Not trying to start any thing. Just messing around with you guys. We should all be happy. Seems to me the state of Alabama is the center of the college football world these days. Hopefully some good years in the rivalry on the field are upon us.
