Tiger Woods '13 help!

  • So I went through the 3 amateur tournaments and got myself a spot in the Masters. My first round of the Masters, and magically my ability to put spin on the ball is gone!

    Is this a glitch? I seriously cannot spin the ball at all. I checked my settings in the menu and I have spin turned on.

  • Spin is turned off in the Masters. That is how it was last year too.

    You have to put spin on the ball by the way you hit the ball. You set it up before the shot.

    I got my ass kicked my first time in the Masters last year.

    Gotcha. Just wondering if it was a glitch. Shooting -3 through 8 holes right now, so I'm doing OK. I doubt that keeps up.

  • Just started it last night... Fairways Hit 97%, GIR 85%.... total puts 1st round... 48 ... facepalm_msu ... got it figured out now but had me on tilt last night.

    I played all my tournaments like that so it was just old hat when the Masters rolled around every year.

    Sounds like an average round of golf for me, if you cut the Fairways and GIR in half and keep the putts. lol

    dude if you haven't played it with the Masters that alone is enough reason to buy it iyam

    Tiger only gets better imo, maybe not year to year but it never gets worse and compared to say 08' this game is a lot better

    lol that is exactly how mine went as well. the putting has been brutal. Even the 6 inch putts weren't gimmes the first few rounds.

    How does that country club thing work? I haven't looked into it at all, but if we can create tournaments for all of us to play in against each other it'd be pretty cool.

  • I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow. I liked the 04 putting where it told you "x inches right/left, x inches long/short". I sucked at the previous years way with just the grid.

    Is that how this years is?

  • I have hard swing, no grid, no power boost, no spin, manual caddy. Just finished my second round of the master at +2. Only use the caddy for putting.

    I had to do it, with all of it on I was shot -8 on my first round. Gets really boring when it is that easy. Completely unrealistic. Have tournament scores on very hard. I don't want to win the Masters, that would never happen, especially with a guy with 265 average drives.

    Yeah they have a grid but real men take it off cool

    When they had the inches I could get -22 on a bad round

    BTW if we have a TBB Tiger Showdown ( Ill place top 5 for sure ) we ain't playing none of this cheap ass grid crap and also I prefer we go hard and play with heavy winds

    Yeah that is cool, Im used to the game for its one of the few I have spent countless hours playing at times over the years since its arrival back in the early 2000's iirc

    There kinda is imo, its like real life in that you can get used to the holes and where to place the ball or try to place it

    Then you just gotta listen to the stupid tip ( your caddy gets better as you do and as you play the courses over and over again ) and then go for it as best you can

    You can still change the views on the greens and get different angles to try and guess how its gonna break

    Playing in 25mph winds right was -1 on the day through 6, just had a 7 to bring me up to +2 on the day and +4 overall. Brutal.

    At the Masters, by the way.
