Alabama has spent almost its entire history in a conference with at least ten teams. USC hasn't. It spent almost a decade in a five team conference. Of course it's statistically more likely to face the "Top 3". The larger the sample size, the greater the chance you miss playing teams.

Wrong, USC has been playing at least 7 conf since 1936, with the exception of those 4-5 yrs from 1960-64 when the conference briefly dissolved after Nzaa sanctions on several teams when they tried be like the SEC and give their players scholarships.

So your saying those 8 years is why Bama has played 90 fewer games against the better teams in their conference. Ok, that makes sense.
Its just the way the SEC operates, like how Georgia-Alabama didnt play at all the 6 year stretch from 1978-83 or right around then, when Georgia was really good.
Teams in the same conference that didnt play each other at all over 6 years.
That's weak.BamaLivesFootba ●

Time to admit the SEC is best, haters.
