I agree with the slightly curved bills. Caps are meant to shade your eyes from the sun, thus the curve. Sunglasses do the same and for the life of me, I can't figure out why some players wear them on top of the bill of the cap or backwards on the back of the neck when the damn sun is causing them to squint.

Those that wear them backwards might as well be wearing a beanie (with a propeller for formal wear)

For what it's worth : Lordosis is the curved posture assumed by some female mammals during mating in which the back is arched downward. It has nothing to do with hats but it is word which when bandied about in conversation with mixed company can be very impressive.

Only in the last couple years have baseball players at high school and college level decided to not curve the bills. Also in the last couple years flat bill snapbacks have become an epidemic.
